Kaaren Lundeen is a key assistant animator who worked at Walt Disney Animation Studios from 1982 - 2004.
Born from Swedish descent, her childhood in the Pennsylvania highlands instilled a lasting love of nature and open air that has remained throughout her life in California and North Carolina. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Center College of Design in Pasadena. After illustrating for a few years, she joined Disney, where she worked for 22 years. She was supervising artist on Disney characters that include, but are not limited to Belle, Aladdin, John Smith, and Adult Simba. Kaaren resides in Brevard, North Carolina and is a member of OPA. She travels extensively and paints in Plein Air.
