This article is about one half of the Quantum Bands. For for its other half, see Carol's Bangle. For both parts, see Quantum Bands.
- “That bangle helps you unlock the Noor.”

Kamala's Bangle, also known as a Quantum Band, is an item featured in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, possessed by Ms. Marvel. It first appeared in the Disney XD animated series, Avengers Assemble, before making its live-action debut in the Disney+ series, Ms. Marvel.
The bangle is a mystical artifact, and one part of the Quantum Bands. When combined with its other half, it was capable of opening a gateway back to the Noor Dimension. After being divided from its other half, and landing onto Earth, the bangle was discovered and taken into the possession of Aisha, a member of the Clandestines. During the Partition of India, Aisha passed on the bangle to her daughter, Sana, who would eventually pass it to her own family. By 2025, Sana's granddaughter, Kamala, inherited the bangle, and upon wearing it, unlocked the ability to access to Noor, the energy source of the Djinn and their home dimension.
The bangle is a composite item, based on Kamala's Bangle in the comics, created by writer G. Willow Wilson and artist Adrian Alphona, and the Quantum Bands, created by writer Roy Thomas and artist George Perez.
Background
Powers
The bangle is one half of the Quantum Bands. It can be utilised in full effect, when combined with its counterpart, but also displays a variety of feats on its own.
- Teleportation: The power to move from one location to another, across space.
- Quantum Entanglement: The power to change places, with that of someone else. After the Quantum Band's other half was used to create unstable jump points by Dar-Benn, Captain Marvel and Monica Rambeau, both of whom also possessed light-based power, made contact with the new creations, resulting in their quantum entanglement. As Kamala also possessed light-based powers helself, whilst also being in possession of the other Quatum Band, she too was affected, and all three exchanged places when their powers were in use. This was eventually resolved after both Quatum Bands were used together and Dar-Benn's died.
- Unstable Noor Dimension Gateway: The power to creating a rift into the Veil of Noor, and give access into the Noor Dimension. When Najma combined the power of her weapon, with that of the Quantum Band, she was able to access the Veil of Noor, though the gateway was fatal to its surroundings, and killed those who made contact with it. Dar-Benn managed to create a similar feat with the bands other half, generating unstable jump points when combining her bangle, with her warhammer, the Universal Weapon.
- Clairvoyance: Through the bangle, Kamala began receiving visions of Najma, often surrounded in light.
- Retrocognition: The ability to see into the past. When Kamala first put on her bangle, she was briefly thrust into a purple dimension, during the Partition of India, surrounded by the various travelers who were present, with glowing eyes. After Najma grabbed hold of the bangle, she and Kamala saw a vision of train to Karachi that her grandmother and great-grandfather departed on, during the Partition of India.
- Time Travel: Kamala was transported back in time, to the Partition of India, in 1947, through the bangles powers. Aisha was able to invoke the bangle's power remotely, to bring Kamala forth. The time travel itself, created a temporal paradox, through a causal loop. The changes created in the past were predetermined, and were always supposed to happen. While this differs from the time-travel, as displayed in Avengers: Endgame and Loki, it was previously displayed in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D..
- Word Manifestation: When Aisha displayed the mystical properties of the bangle to Hasan, she was able to manifest an extract from his favorite poem, onto the bangle as a written inscription.

The bangle is one part of a matching pair. When the Clandestines seek a way to return home to the Noor Dimension, after their exile, they find a man from a temple, who advises them to travel to an underground cave, in British Occupied India, where they're believed to be located.
Unknown circumstances lead to it being separated from its other half, when the Clandestines come to retrieve it. They find the bangle, attached to a severed blue arm, and Aisha takes hold of it, and puts it on. A course of energy runs through her, and she is forced to make an exit, to prevent the British Army from capturing her and taking it in their possession.
Aisha takes refuge in a village, where she meets Hasan, and begins a family. Years pass, and Najma tracks down Aisha. She orders her to hand over the bangle, before sundown the next day, so they can return home.
The next morning, Aisha decides to flee with her family during the Partition of India. She gives her daughter, Sana her bangle and promises it will keep her safe.
- “The bangle worked. Sana... It brought you back to me.”
- ―Aisha to Kamala Khan[src]
Aisha makes her way to the train station, alongside her family, and reveals her true nature, by showcasing the bangles capabilities. It extends by itself and begins to glow. An extract from a poem Hasan read Aisha, materializes on the bangle, before returning to its original state. When Aisha finds Najma on their trail, she has her husband flee with Sana, while she confronts her former friend. Aisha claims to have no knowledge of where the bangle is, but Najma doesn't believe her, and stabs Aisha for her betrayal. Fatally wounded, Aisha repeats the poem read by Hasan when they first met, “What you seek, is seeking you”, which invokes the power of the bangle. Aisha's great-granddaughter, Kamala Khan is brought forward to the present, in possession of the bangle from her own timeline. Aisha initially believes Kamala to be Sana, but Kamala clarifies she isn't. She asks Kamala to protect Sana, and make sure her daughter gets safety onto the train, before dying from her injuries.
Kamala finds Sana, and manages to use her Hard Light to lead her back to Hasan.
Sana keeps hold of the bangle for several decades. When her grandson Aamir is set to get married, Muneeba passes on a box of old belongings to her daughter, Muneeba for the upcoming nuptials, including the bangle.
Kamala browses through her grandmother’s delivery, and comes across the bangle, which she admires. She asks her mother if it belonged to her grandmother, but upon seeing it, Muneeba takes hold of it, and places it back in the box, which she has Aamir, move into the attic.
Kamala later goes into the attic, and searches the old belongings, to find the final flourish in her Captain Marvel cosplay. She finds the bangle, amongst various other items, and upon holding it, the light begins to flicker. Kamala decides that she will use that for her costume.
At AvengerCon, Kamala changes into her costume, and takes out her grandmother’s bangle from her bag. She finds that it's pried shut, but manages to unlock it, after pressing down against a part of it. As she puts it on, her ability to access Noor is activated. Energy courses around her, and Kamala is thrust into a purple dimension, where hooded figures with glowing eyes surround her, before returning to her original place in mere seconds.
Kamala begins training her new powers, and Bruno runs diagnostics on her. His findings indicate that the bangle merely unlocked powers that originated from within Kamala, herself.
While Yusuf shares the story of Sana's journey during the Partition, the bangle begins emitting a light. Kamala's surroundings shake, and strobes of light, flash across the room, while smoke begins to appear, in a vision. Kamala seems to be the only who sees this, and a silhouetted figure emerges from smoke.
When Kamala dresses as her alter ego "Night Light" to rescue a boy from falling from the minaret, she extends her arm out, to help him climb off the construct, when her bangle begins to glow once again, and a vision of Najma appears before Kamala, standing in place of Hameed and encompassed in light, while streaks of light surround Kamala. She extends her arm out towards Kamala, and then disappears.
- “The bangle and its visions brought you to me and to all the people that you belong with. Those people out there just see you as a kid playing dress-up. But I know that you've inherited greatness.”
- ―Najma to Kamala Khan[src]
When Kamala meets Najma, she points at the bangle in unlocking her Noor. Kamala expresses the misfortune the bangle has brought her, but Najma disagrees, and cites how the bangle and its visions brought her to the Clandestines.
Najma later grabs hold of Kamala's wrist, and they see a vision of a train to Karachi. Kamala's grandmother, Sana later calls her and reveals that she saw the same vision, and asks that Kamala and her mother come to Pakistan.
Kamala arrives to Karachi to ask her grandmother about the bangle. Sana informs her that last time it was used, it saved her life, and describes how a trail of start lead her back to the train with her father, during the Partition of India. She tells Kamala that the bangle is trying to tell her something, and she needs to figure out what.
- “If the Clandestines use the bangle to tear down the Veil, they'll unleash their world onto ours. Until there's nothing left of it. That is why it is important to keep that bangle safe.”
- ―Waleed to Kamala Khan[src]
Kamala later heads to the station, to further explore her visions. She encounters Red Dagger, who knew of her great-grandmother, Aisha, who originally was in possession of the jewelry. He leads her to the Headquarters for the Order of the Red Daggers, where the leader, Waleed, informs Kamala, that the Clandestines intend to use it, to dear down the veil of Noor, a barrier separating their world from the Noor Dimension. He also finds an inscription on the bangle, which he was previously unaware of, and translates the message, which reads, "What you seek, is seeking you".
The Clandestine track Kamala and go in pursuit of her. A fight breaks out against the Clandestines, in their attempt to obtain the bangle. Their fight leads them into a courtyard, where Najma stabs the bangles, and a burst of energy is released. It sends everyone within vicinity, flying back, and Kamala falls back in time, to 1947, during the Partition of India.
Kamala encounters her grandmother in the past, and uses her powers to reunite Sana back onto the train with her father. Once she does, she is brought back to the present, in the courtyard she stood in, during her fight with Clandestines, and finds that the Bangle has served its purpose. During her encounter in the past, Kamala's grandmother, was in possession of the past version of the bangle, and the combined power of the two pieces together, open the Veil of Noor in the present.
Sometime afterwards, Kamala returns home, after the threat of the Clandestines have been neutralized, and she is no longer being hunted by the Department of Damage Control. Whilst in her bedroom, the bangle begins glowing. Kamala stands up from her bed to note its activity, when she suddenly swaps places with Captain Marvel, transporting to an unknown location, while Carol Danvers, stands in Kamala's place.
The Marvels
The bangle returns, in the 2023 sequel to Captain Marvel.
The Kree leader, Dar-Benn, creates unstable jump points with a combination of her war hammer, the Universal Weapon, and a Quantum Band she uncovers. Captain Marvel and Monica Rambeau both make contact with the jump points and their joint exposure, combined with their suspecitibility to electromagnetic energy, entangles their powers. As Kamala's is also electromagnetically altered, and possesses the other half to the Quantum Band, she becomes quantumly entangled, with the two, switching places, whenever she, Carol or Monica, activate their powers. This comes into fruition while Kamala is in her bedroom, and bangle suddenly begins to glow, transporting her into outer space, in the place of Monica Rambeau.
When Kamala and Monica Rambeau are taken abroad on a Kree war ship, they are brought before Dar-Benn. When she finds that Dar-Benn is in possession of the other bangle, Kamala conceals her own underneath her sleeve to prevent Dar-Benn from seeing it.
She eventually finds herself in Tarnax, which serves as a Skrull refugee colony. Dar-Benn uses the combined power of her Quantum Band, with the Universal Weapon, to create a jump point and siphon the atmosphere onto Hala. As she does, Kamala's bangle begins to glow, in response to the actions of its other half.
Kamala and Monica make their way onto Carol's ship, and she reveals that she is in possession of a bangle, similar to Dar-Benn's. Kamala describes the capabilities the bangle has showcased, and Carol soon comes to realise the bangle is a Quantum Band, an ancient artifeact, thought to be a myth.
Later on, Ms. Marvel, Monica and Captain Marvel find themselves on the planet of Aladna, defending the local citizens from Dar-Benn's forces. When Kamala swaps places with Carol, mid-battle, the Kree leader comes to realise that Kamala is in possession of the other half of the Quantum Band. Dar-Benn questions where Kamala got ahold of it, and demands she give it to her, but Kamala flees on Monica's orders.
Kamala reunites with her family at the S.A.B.E.R. station, where all passengers are ready to evacuate. She explains she needs to leave once again, to help in the battle against Dar-Benn. Fury questions whether Kamala should bring the bangle to Dar-Benn, who is desperate to reunite it with its other half, and Muneeba suggests, she take it from her, but Kamala insists on keeping it, as both bands will be needed to close the jump points she created.
Ms. Marvel, Monica Rambeau and Captain Marvel battle Dar-Benn on her warship, and momentarily subdue her, but the Kree warrior manages to best them, and takes hold of Ms. Marvel, seizing the bangle from her, and reuniting the Quantum Bands.
Dar-Benn uses both bangles to rip open a hole in the fabric of reality, leading into another universe. The bangles energy however is too much for her physicality, and her body disintegrates as a result. Kamala takes both bands, and uses its energy, combined with Captain Marvel's raw power, into charging Monica with enough energy, that she can close the tear created by Dar-Benn.
