Kelly Macdonald is a Scottish actress, who is known for voicing Princess Merida in the 2012 Disney/Pixar film, Brave, and its video game of the same name and reprised her role in Ralph Breaks the Internet. She also played Jin Jenz Reporter in the 2005 Touchstone Pictures film, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Kiera MacLaine/Meghan Keene in the "Ice" episode of the ABC TV show, Alias, and an actress playing Peter Pan in the Miramax drama film, Finding Neverland.
Macdonald also appeared in Trainspotting, Gosford Park, Intermission, Elizabeth, Nanny McPhee, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2, Anna Karenina, Choke, Goodbye Christopher Robin, and No Country for Old Men. She also went on to star for five seasons in the HBO series Boardwalk Empire (2010–2014) as Margaret Thompson, for which she received a 2011 Emmy Award nomination and the BBC miniseries State of Play as journalist Della Smith.
For the 2005 TV film, The Girl in the Cafe, she was nominated for a Golden Globe and won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Miniseries or Movie.
