Kevin Spacey Fowler, KBE, known professionally as Kevin Spacey, is an American actor, producer, director, comedian, singer, and screenwriter. He is best known for his film roles, such as Roger "Verbal" Kint in the 1995 mystery film The Usual Suspects, Jack Vincennes in the 1997 crime film L.A. Confidential, Lester Burnham in the 1999 black comedy-drama film American Beauty, David "Dave" Harken in the Horrible Bosses films and Lex Luthor in the 2006 superhero film Superman Returns. He is also well-known for his television role as Frank Underwood in the Netflix political drama series House of Cards (2013–2017).
For Disney, he voiced Hopper, the main antagonist of the 1998 Disney•Pixar animated feature film A Bug's Life. He also portrayed Harry Kingsley in Iron Will, Eddy Otis in Consenting Adults, and Lloyd Chasseur in the 1994 Touchstone Pictures film The Ref.
