"Kiff Has to Sneeze" is the first segment of the thirty-third episode, as well as the season two premiere of the Disney Channel animated series Kiff.
Synopsis[]
Kiff has an unsneezed sneeze trapped in her head, so she and Barry try everything to get it out.
Plot[]
On the way to Table Town Middle School, Barry interrupts Kiff as she is about to sneeze to draw her attention to Glarbin using his library card to unlock the doors to Table Town City Hall after forgetting his keys. Kiff is unable to sneeze afterwards and bumps herself on a pole on the way to school.
Later that day in Miss Deer Teacher's class, Kiff finds herself making various flubs, including missing Barry's hand while trying to high-five him, getting a question about her book report on Sins of Santiago wrong, and failing to perform her usual pen-spinning trick for Trevor. She realizes that she has not felt like her usual self since failing to sneeze that morning. Despite taking various measures to let her sneeze out, including a retreat on Mount Table to train her body to sneeze on command, Kiff is unable to do so.
Kiff and Barry eventually find themselves at the park, where Kiff imagines a future where her head has become filled with air due to her inability to sneeze. A sunbathing Helen, who had been eavesdropping on Kiff's fantasy, offers to help Kiff in order to ensure that Kiff's head does not inflate and block out the sun, preventing Helen from getting a tan. Helen performs a spell to transport Barry inside Kiff's mind to locate and release the sneeze. However, due to Kiff allowing Helen to do so without explaining herself first, only after performing the spell does Helen mention that Barry only has five minutes to locate the sneeze before he remains trapped in Kiff's mind forever.
Inside Kiff's "mind palace", Barry is excitedly met by a large group of miniature Kiffs, who perform a musical number and cause Barry to struggle to stay focused on his task. Barry splits from the group and stumbles upon the closet containing the lost sneeze, but the sneeze has locked itself inside and refuses to come out. With 30 seconds left, Kiff urges Barry to observe his surroundings and locate a clue to open the door.
Though Barry initially doubts himself and blames himself for getting Kiff into her predicament in the first place, he focuses and eventually notices a copy of Kiff's favorite book A String of Shocking Occurances. While flipping through the book to locate Kiff's favorite chapter, he finds Kiff's library card, causing him to remember Glarbin using his library card to open the City Hall doors earlier that day. Barry uses Kiff's card to unlock the closet, and Kiff lets out a powerful sneeze that ejects Barry from her mind and even jolts his skeleton out of his body. Barry, now lacking bones and lying limp on the ground, proposes that they celebrate by getting Kiff a hot dog from the nearby hot dog stand. Kiff, however, asks him what a hot dog is, due to Barry having accidentally trashed Kiff's memory of hot dogs earlier in her head.
