Kilauea Lighthouse is a lighthouse that appears in the Lilo & Stitch franchise.
Background[]
The lighthouse is first seen in Stitch! The Movie. It had been abandoned for years, due to the expense and its high demand for electricity. After Experiment 221 (Sparky) was activated, captured, and rehabilitated by Lilo and Stitch, they both gave him a one true place powering the abandoned lighthouse, where Sparky could make the giant beacon light work again, and as it was big enough, he would not short it out when he touched it.
This lighthouse is seen throughout Lilo & Stitch: The Series, where Sparky was often called upon by Lilo and Stitch to help them out with various problems. Afterwards, Sparky would resume his job at the lighthouse. In "Woops", the lighthouse is accidentally destroyed by Experiment 600 (Woops) due to his clumsiness, though it is somehow fully repaired or rebuilt by the events of "Snafu". In this episode, Sparky joins Lilo and Stitch on a mission to rescue Gantu's captive experiments, and is drawn away from the lighthouse by Lilo with a trail of batteries, which he promptly eats one by one.
In the film's opening credits of Leroy & Stitch, Sparky can be seen from the lighthouse waving hello to Lilo and Stitch. Later, Sparky is captured by Leroy and taken to a large stadium to be destroyed, along with the rest of Jumba's rehabilitated experiments. A battle then ensues between the experiments and Leroy clones. In the end, Leroy and his clones are defeated, and Sparky resumes his job at the lighthouse once again.
