Kirby's Drawings are a collection of characters that appear in the Disney XD series Kirby Buckets.
Background[]
Kirby's drawings originate from the titular character's notebook. Throughout the first two seasons, Kirby would continuously imagine them coming to life and responding to the many odd things happening around him. It is heavily implied that they are an extension of his mind as in the episode "Get a Grip", when Kirby was unable to draw, it caused him to act like his drawings. Kirby animates them in short videos he makes for his website Kirblamo! Oddly enough, no explanation was given as to how he voiced the characters until "Weekend with Inga", where it is shown that he uses a voice synthesizer to voice the characters himself.
In season three, after Dawn sues Kirby from drawing ever again, Kirby opts to put his drawings away for good, resulting in him ceasing to see his cartoon characters (slightly contradicting his actions from "Get a Grip"). By the end of the season, Kirby is allowed to see his characters again, much to his delight.
Drawings[]
- Macho Taco (voiced by Dean Julian) - A luchador who dresses like a taco. As his name implies, he has a macho personality and he appears to be Kirby's favorite character to animate, and by extension, mostly everyone else's.
- Dr. Gut-Punch (voiced by Julian) - A German-accented doctor who wears a boxing glove. His diagnosis always seems to punch people with it.
- Tri-Butt (voiced by Josh Faure-Brac) - A bald man with three butt cheeks. He is very confident and considers himself popular, despite not being very bright.
- Scrunch Face (voiced by Faure-Brac) - A short, large-headed man with a scrunched in face. He talks with a very annoying voice and it is heavily implied that he is everyone's least favorite character, with the exception of Grandma Inga. He was "killed off" in "Weekend with Inga", but was brought back to life shortly afterwards.
- Octo-Stache (voiced by Tommy Blacha) - A man with a large prehensile beard. He was largely faded out as the series went on, but briefly reappeared in "Say Uncle" where he revealed that he was stuck in the attic's junk ball this whole time.
- Zip Zap (voiced by Julian) - An alien who rides around in a UFO and is constantly declaring his intent to conquer the world. He tends to voice Kirby's negative opinions.
- Dangerbird (voiced by Josh Keaton) - A chicken who wants to be the greatest stunt bird in the world. One of his legs is a cooked wing and he appears to be a masochist as he enjoys being in pain.
- Germama (voiced by Susan Boyajian) - An amoeba who is easily attracted to gross or disgusting things and is the only recurring female character that Kirby draws.
- Shredlock (voiced by Dwight Schultz) - A powerful wizard with orange robes and a blue beard. He can play the guitar and in one episode is shown to have a robot girlfriend.
- Dawnzilla (voiced by Olivia Stuck) - Not necessarily a character, but rather Kirby's personal alter ego of his sister Dawn. He usually drew her to insult her, though as the series progressed, he used her less and less often.
Trivia[]
- Kirby's Drawings share some similarities to Lizzie McGuire when she imagines a small cartoon version of herself voicing her inner thoughts.
