Black Panther asks "Have you heard the one about the toad getting struck by lightning?" just as Storm and Thor use their electricity powers. This is a nod to Storm's infamous line from 2000's X-Men where Storm asks "Do you know what happens to a toad when it's struck by lightning? The same thing that happens to everything else." The line was read in a serious tone when it was meant to have a more self aware delivery, as intended by the writer Joss Whedon.
