La Parade de Noël Disney (previously known as La Cavalcade de Noël) was the annual holiday parade that performed at Disneyland Park (Paris) during the Christmas season from 2012 to 2020. And replaced the Christmas Dreams tag which had been running since 2007 at the end of the Once upon a Dream Parade.
The Parade Units[]
Over the years, the composition of the parade has evolved with the arrival, modification and disappearance of some tanks and Disney characters.
Directed by Christophe Leclercq, this seasonal parade is based on the theme of toys and Christmas preparations and has the distinction of having a dedicated Santa Claus.
The recurring characters of this parade are Goofy who opens the parade alongside the lead soldiers, followed by Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Tinker Bell on the "Decorate the Tree" / "Deck the Halls" tank. The "Sugar & Delights" / "Sugar and Spice" unit was added in 2014 and features Chip and Dale, Clarice, Daisy and a brigade of pastry chefs preparing Christmas cakes and gingerbread.
Winnie the Pooh and his friends Piglet, Eeyore, Tigger and Rabbit take part in the parade between two tanks with dancers representing the distribution of the Christmas mail.
The chariot of the chief of the elves, now excluded from the parade, was present from 2012 to 2015. It was replaced in 2016 by a new tank, "Toy Factory", featuring Huey, Dewey, and Louie, accompanied by The Three Little Pigs.
The last chariot is dedicated to Santa's sleigh. He is accompanied by elves and Duffy the Disney Bear. From 2013 to 2015, Huey, Dewey, and Louie also accompanied him on this tank.
