"Labyrinth and Repeat" is the second episode of Legend of the Three Caballeros. It premiered on June 9, 2018 on the DisneyLife app in the Philippines and premiered on Disney XD in the United States on August 14, 2021[1].

Synopsis[]

The trio manage to calm the goddess down and she introduces herself as Xandra, the Goddess of Adventure. She initially mistakes Donald, José, and Panchito for The Three Caballeros but is disappointed to find that they are their lackluster descendants. When the trio tell her that they're looking for treasure, Xandra teleports them to Crete where they fight a Minotaur within the hidden labyrinth. Despite their differences, they manage to prove themselves to Xandra as the Caballeros's rightful heirs by finding three magical amulets left by their ancestors. Meanwhile, Baron Von Sheldgoose discovers a magical staff containing his evil ancestor Lord Felldrake.

Plot[]

Cornering the Three Caballeros at Clinton Coot's cabana, the goddess stops firing her arrows at the three and realizes that they are the Three Caballeros themselves who introduce themselves to her to which she notices them wearing strange clothes which look different from the ones their ancestors wear. The goddess introduces herself as Xandra, the goddess of adventure just before she prepares to fire her arrows at them. José Carioca introduces himself to Xandra, alongside Panchito and Donald who confuse her and stall her arrow fire at them only to which the birthday song Donald sings is interrupted as she urges them to know where the real Three Caballeros are at to which the three plan to sell the golden atlas for a million dollars, much to her warning. Meanwhile, Daisy's nieces, April, May, and June, are still planning to help Sheldgoose find a product for him which is a ring. Suddenly, the three humiliate him for how much money it would cost him to which when Sheldgoose asks for a thousand dollars, he is then billed only for him to be displeased with the cost. Suddenly, Sheldgoose then buys the ring, despite seeing the message the nieces wrote on the receipt.

Meanwhile, Xandra continues to urge the Three Caballeros to know if they are the real ones to which the three explains to her that they are descendants of Clinton Coot, much to Xandra feeling worried upon what is happening outside which is the modern technology she is looking at. Xandra then recaps a legend of what happened a long time ago. It is said that across the globe and beyond are a multitude of mystic points where myths and legends are born and the atlas is a map to all of them and only Xandra can harness its power. She continues explaining that centuries ago, an evil wizard named Lord Felldrake gained possession of the atlas and bound Xandra in her book and Felldrake disrupted the balance of mystical forces to gain evil power and build an army to destroy the universe until the original Three Caballeros arrived and trapped Felldrake in his own staff to save the universe and undo the evil Felldrake had done as the book has never been opened until now. After recapping, Xandra plans to take the Caballeros to mystical worlds to help fight evil and save the universe to which the three arrive at the Island of Crete.

Arriving at Crete, Xandra dircects the three to a secret room full of treasure upon seeing the path of their ancestors as the Caballeros follow the path leading to a labyrinth. The three then discover a door where to which upon knocking, they encounter the Minotaur to which upon feeling offended by José, he chases the three across the labyrinth to which Donald devises a plan so the Three Caballeros can split up, much to his conscience talking to him as the three continue running across the labyrinth to escape the Minotaur. During the chase, Donald tells Panchito to ride him like if he were a steer at the rodeo to which he crashes into a column, which causes the three to find three amulets as a large column brings the three to the top of the island having escaped from the Minotaur. Xandra later congratulates them for finding the amulets. Suddenly, the Minotaur appears next to the three as he is shown to have survived the falling debris.

Cornered by the Minotaur, he explains to himself that he hadn't had enough fun since the first Olympics as Xandra thanks Larry, the Minotaur, who thanks her that his work is done. As Larry leaves, Xandra explains to the Caballeros that the challenge she gave the three is a test where one survivor alone could not defeat the Minotaur and the Three Caballeros had to work together as a team and the original ancestors left the amulets back there and could only be found by only those who are worthy enough to survive the labyrinth. Explaining to José that there is no mystic barrier, Xandra teleports the Caballeros back to Clinton Coot's cabana. However, it is revealed that the amulets are leading the Caballeros to a hidden treasure room where they discover the outfits of their original ancestors as April, May, and June arrive and encounter Xandra who introduces herself as the goddess of adventure.

Outside, the Caballeros encounter Sheldgoose for owing the cabana a million dollars to which the three refuse to pay as Sheldgoose infuriatingly plans to watch over the Caballeros to which the three go back home as Sheldgoose's ring leads him back to his home and it also leads him to a secret room where he hears the voice coming from his staff, Lord Felldrake the Terrible, Sheldgoose's ancestor. Felldrake tells Sheldgoose to join him in a plan to take revenge against the Three Caballeros.

Back at Clinton's cabana, the Caballeros work in teamwork to which Xandra is satisfied of their hard work. However, the sarcophagus behind Donald breaks up and reveals a bat creature taking him away, much to the group's worry.
