"Lady and the Trampoline" is the second segment of the seventeenth episode of the Disney Channel animated series Hailey's On It!
Synopsis[]
When Hailey must face her fear of trampolining, she learns not to let worries about her appearance get in the way of fun.
Plot[]
Hailey and Scott are watching old noir movies when they are distracted by Beta pretending to be a wrestler named Cicada Beta. The two mock him for it, forcing Beta to give Hailey something "embarrassing" to accomplish, conquer "The Big Bounce" at Trampoline Town. Hailey recalls (in a noir-styled flashback) how some time ago, she tried to conquer the challenge, but sweated so much that she was unable to finish it. Three regular patrons there, Jenna and Brenna Kurpatwinski and Terry Kline, all supposedly mocked her for her failure and she ran away in disgrace. Scott encourages her to finish it as he lacks the ability to feel embarrassed and Hailey finally agrees.
Upon arriving, Jenna, Brenna, and Terry are there and Hailey becomes embarrassed again. Scott agrees to distract them, believing that either Jenna or Brenna has a crush on him, but Beta is kidnapped by a small child who begins playing with him. Hailey manages to get up to the entrance to The Big Bounce, but a searchlight suddenly hits her and she hides. It is revealed that Bill Board won Trampoline Town from a Secret Santa gift exchange and has upgraded the facility. There is now a giant television screen showcasing people on the Big Bounce, as well as a "sweat-o-meter". Hailey puts on Beta's cicada mask to hide her identity and she goes through the course.
Hailey successfully navigates through the course, impressing Jenna, Brenna, and Terry, as well as Scott. She gets near the end, but the sweat is too much for her to handle, forcing her to abandon the mask. By this point, Hailey realizes that she loves the Big Bounce regardless of how she looks. She reaches the end much to everyone's applause, while Beta gets his mask back and gets revenge on the child that took him. Hailey also learns that Jenna, Brenna, and Terry were not making fun of her, but were trying to be supportive, as evidenced from video footage. Hailey apologizes for assuming the worst and everyone agrees to go through the course together again.
