"Lair Necessities" is the first segment of the thirty-second episode of the Disney Channel animated series Hamster & Gretel.
Synopsis[]
While Kevin looks for a new lair, Hamster and Gretel battle a pair of psychic construction workers.
Plot[]
Kevin, Fred, Hamster, and Gretel are discussing the greater evil they were told about by the superpower-granting aliens when they are interrupted by Dave and Carolina inviting them to join them at a neighborhood gathering. Deciding that they need a private place to discuss superhero-related activities, Kevin remembers a fort in the woods he and Fred used when they were children and suggests they use it as their lair. While traveling there, Kevin has fond memories of spending time there with Fred, only to find that the fort is nowhere near as awesome as he remembered it was and that it is in ruins.
Meanwhile, Hamster and Gretel learn that the Demo Broz, consisting of the siblings Luis and Jeffrey Demo, has been flipping houses all over town using powers they received from the aliens to search for buried treasure. Hamster and Gretel restore the houses they flipped before notifying Kevin and Fred. After doing some research, they learn that the final house on their spree is the Grant-Gomez house, where the Demo Broz uncover a secret passage leading to an abandoned video store the house was built on top of. Disappointed that "buried treasure" is merely the name of the video store, the duo attacks Hamster and Gretel. Fred realizes that Hamster and Gretel must separate the brothers in order to defeat them, which they achieve via a distraction. The next day, Hamster reveals that he converted the video store into a lair.
