Leibish Lawrence Libman, known professionally as Larry D. Mann, was a Canadian radio and film actor and broadcaster, who, for Disney, appeared in Charley and the Angel, The Wild Country, and several television films for The Wonderful World of Disney.
Mann was born in Toronto, Ontario. Before his acting career, he was a disc jockey on 1050 CHUM radio in his native Toronto. This experience led him to voice acting roles. In the 1960s, worked primarily for Rankin/Bass Productions when it was known as Videocraft International He would perform voice-overs for characters in shows, such as The New Adventure of Pinocchio, Tales of the Wizard of Oz, and the films Willie McBean and The Magic Machine, Return to Oz (1960), and The Daydreamer. His most recognized role however, is Yukon Cornelius in the classic Christmas special Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, which has aired on TV every Christmas holiday for the last seven decades.
He would go on to appear as a character actor in films, such as In the Heat of the Night, The Sting, The Singing Nun, Robin and the 7 Hoods, Caprice, Bullitt, The Swinger, The Russians Are Coming The Russians Are Coming, Angel in My Pocket, and Harlow. Mann's many television credits included Let's See, The Wayne & Shuster Show, Howdy Doody, Get Smart, Gunsmoke, The Man From U.N.C.L.E., Bewitched, Hogan's Heroes, Honey West, The Green Hornet, Green Acres, Columbo, Quincy, M.E., How the West was Won, Hill Street Blues, Bonanza, Night Gallery, The Dukes of Hazzard, My Favorite Martian, Burke's Law, I Spy, and Homefront. He also played the title role in a series of Bell Canada TV commercials called "The Boss" for ten years beginning in 1981.
His voice acting roles included Crazylegs Crane in various DePatie-Freleng productions, such as The Pink Panther and Tijuana Roads as well as Blue Racer in The Blue Racer. He also worked on Sabrina the Teenage Witch (1969-1970), Fangface, The All-New Scooby and Scrappy-Doo Show, and the specials A Snow White Christmas and Dennis the Menace in Mayday for Mother.
