Laurence John Fishburne III is an American actor, playwright, director, and producer known for his distinctive deep raspy tenor voice. He is best known for his roles as Morpheus in The Matrix film trilogy, Jason "Furious" Styles in the 1991 drama film Boyz n the Hood and Bowery King in the John Wick film series. He also voiced Thrax in the 2001 animated/live-action hybrid comedy film, Osmosis Jones.

His Disney roles include Ike Turner Sr. in the 1993 Touchstone Pictures film, What's Love Got to Do with It, Nelson Crowe in the 1995 Touchstone Pictures film, Bad Company, Earl "Pops" Johnson in the ABC TV show, Black-ish, Bill Foster in Ant-Man and the Wasp, and himself in the The Muppets episode "Hostile Makeover". He also appeared in the Gothic TV series, Hannibal as Agent Jack Crawford from 2013 to 2015.
