"Le Purrfect Crime" is the fifty-fourth episode of Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers. It premiered on March 19, 1990, and is the forty-first episode of the second season.
Plot
When the Rescue Rangers learn that dogs are fleeing from Paris, they travel there and learn about the latest plot of Maltese de Sade, Fat Cat's French cousin.
Meanwhile, Dale has been insulted by his team (mainly Chip) who claims that he's a distraction to the rest of the Rangers. So, he wanders aimlessly through Paris, hurt and sad, then suffers amnesia and is brainwashed by Maltese de Sade into fighting against his friends. Chip tries to apologize for his insults, but Dale doesn't know his teammates or what he's talking about, and doesn't care.
But after he is no longer brainwashed and regains his memories, he forgives the Rangers after they apologize to him for each being jerks to him and calling him a distraction for no reason, especially Chip, who mainly started it all, and knowing it was entirely his fault that his insults are what got Dale into this mess in the first place.
