The Licorice Dragon (also known as the Treat Dragon) is the fourth boss from Castle of Illusion starring Mickey Mouse, being found in World 4.

Description[]

The Licorice Dragon, as its name suggests, is a large dragon made of red licorice with its long, serpentine body and horn resembling licorice sticks. The dragon's body is not entirely shown, presumably implying that it is massive, but in the PlayStation remake, it is revealed to have a tail with an arrow-shaped point. Its face resembles that of Elliott from Pete's Dragon.

Appearances[]

Castle of Illusion starring Mickey Mouse[]

The Licorice Dragon's main attack is to stick out of the pink taffy "lava". Mickey has to attack the dragon's head. After ten hits, the boss is defeated and sinks back into the taffy lava, revealing a gem. In the PlayStation remake, it will try to bite the platforms, stunning itself if it does so, and Mickey can attack its head at that point. The dragon's hit point maximum is reduced to three this time, and it will destroy two of the platforms and create a trail to another set for every hit to its head.

The dragon's statue in the PlayStation remake claims that it is a greedy brute and is prepared to guard its land of cakes. The description uses masculine pronouns.[1]
