"Like Other Girls" is a song featured in the Mulan sequel, Mulan II. The song is sung by Princesses Ting-Ting, Su, and Mei (Judy Kuhn, Beth Blankenship, and Mandy Gonzalez respectively) who have decided to get away from the organized marriage due to Mei's feelings for Yao. A punk version is performed by British female pop group Atomic Kitten in the film's end credits, this version had a style to producer Andy McCluskey’s post-punk earlier years in his career in the music industry prior to forming Orchestra Maeuvers in the Dark, and later creating Atomic Kitten, the version also departs the groups signature synthpop sound by having a hard punk rock edge to the song and altered some of the lyrics to make it more present day. The song was also included in Disney Princess Sing Along Songs: Once Upon a Dream. The song is a representation of the freedom and individuality that the princesses desire, despite the limitations that stereotyped gender roles confine them to. The song's lesson is that every individual must have the freedom to live life to the fullest, regardless of their gender, status, or societal expectations.
