This is a List of mid and post-credits scenes that are a recurring staple in the feature films of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, during which one or more shorts clips are shown before, during or after the closing credits. The clips usually foreshadow future films and television shows, resolve a plotline from the film or provide comic relief.

Phase One (Avengers Assembled)
Iron Man Tony Stark enters his mansion only to be greeted by Nick Fury, who assures him that "Iron Man" isn't the only superhero in the world before bringing up the Avengers Initiative.
The Incredible Hulk Tony Stark meets a drunken Thaddeus Ross at a bar and tells him that a team is being put together.
Iron Man 2 In a cut-down scene from Thor, Phil Coulson drives towards a crater in the New Mexico desert, where someone's hammer has crashed, and reports the discovery to Nick Fury.
Thor Nick Fury welcomes Erik Selvig to a S.H.I.E.L.D. facility and, after showing him the Tesseract, asks him to investigate the object further. Selvig agrees, unaware that his mind is being controlled by Loki.
Captain America: The First Avenger In a cut-down scene from The Avengers, Nick Fury gives Steve Rogers an assignment with worldwide ramifications.
The Avengers In the mid-credits scene, Other informs his master of Loki's defeat before noting that challenging the Avengers would be courting Death, prompting Thanos to smile at the prospect.
In the post-credit scene, the Avengers assemble at the Shawarma Palace and eat in silence due to their combined exhaustion from the Battle of New York.
Phase Two
Iron Man 3 After recounting his battle with Aldrich Killian and his struggle with post-traumatic stress disorder, Tony Stark realizes Bruce Banner slept through most of the story. Thinking nothing of it, Stark begins telling another story, much to Banner's chagrin.
Thor: The Dark World In the mid-credits scene foreshadowing Guardians of the Galaxy, Sif and Volstagg entrust the Aether to Taneleer Tivan, unaware that he is planning to track down the remaining Infinity Stones.
In the post-credit scene, while entertaining several colleagues in her London flat, Jane Foster sees a portal open on her balcony and runs outside to find Thor, whom she happily embraces. Meanwhile, a flock of birds attempts to flee from the Frost Beast.
Captain America: The Winter Soldier In the mid-credits scene foreshadowing Avengers: Age of Ultron, Baron Strucker and List makes their way through a facility where the Scepter is being studied and approaches a pair of holding cells containing Quicksilver and Wanda Maximoff.
A disguised Winter Soldier infiltrates the Captain America exhibit at the Smithsonian Institution and comes across a memorial for Bucky Barnes.
Guardians of the Galaxy In the mid-credits scene, Groot dances to "I Want You Back" by The Jackson 5 as Drax the Destroyer sharpens his two knives. When Drax turns his way, Groot freezes only to continue when Drax looks away.
Taneleer Tivan sits in the ruins of his museum as Cosmo walks over and licks his face, prompting Howard the Duck to declare that the act was "gross".
Avengers: Age of Ultron Thanos, growing tired with the lack of progress in his crusade to obtain the Infinity Stones, dons the Infinity Gauntlet and vows to personally seek out the Stones.
Ant-Man In the mid-credits scene foreshadowing Ant-Man and the Wasp, Hank Pym shows Hope van Dyne an advanced yet unfinished prototype of the Wasp Suit, prompting her to state "It's about damn time".
In a cut-down scene from Captain America: Civil War, Captain America and Falcon discuss what to do with a trapped Winter Soldier. With the Sokovia Accords preventing them from contacting Tony Stark, Falcon recommends "a guy" who can help them.
Phase Three
Captain America: Civil War In the mid-credits scene foreshadowing Black Panther, Steve Rogers watches Bucky Barnes go back into cryostasis and thanks T'Challa, who has granted them asylum in Wakanda until a cure for Barnes' mental programming can be found.
In the post-credits scene foreshadowing Spider-Man: Homecoming, Peter Parker rests on his bed as Aunt May inquires about his black eye. As soon as she leaves the room, Peter inspects his Web-Shooters and watches as they emit a spider-shaped symbol.
Doctor Strange In a cut-down scene from Thor: Ragnarok, Doctor Strange asks Thor why he brought Loki to Earth. Discovering that they are searching for Odin, Strange offers to help on the condition that the two brothers return to Asgard once their mission is completed.
Karl Mordo confronts Jonathan Pangborn and takes away his magic, explaining he is doing so because he could "see at long last what's wrong with the world, there are too many sorcerers."
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 Kraglin Obfonteri tries to use the Yaka Arrow only to run away after accidentally stabbing Drax in the shoulder.
Stakar Ogord, inspired by Yondu Udonta's sacrifice, brings his wife Aleta Ogord and comrades Martinex, Charlie-27, Krugarr, and Mainframe together and proposes they reassemble their old team.
Foreshadowing Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Ayesha tells her chambermaid she is creating a being capable of destroying the Guardians of the Galaxy, deciding to call her creation "Adam".
Peter Quill walks in on an adolescent-sized Groot playing a video game and shows his disgust over the vines Groot has shed all over the room. Groot responds in a mocking tone, further annoying Quill.
The Watchers walk away from their informant as he implores them to stay and listen to his adventures.
Spider-Man: Homecoming In the mid-credits scene, Adrian Toomes encounters Mac Gargan in prison and learns that he has "friends" looking to kill Spider-Man before being confronted with a rumor about him knowing who the young crimefighter is. Toomes denies knowing Spider-Man's true identity and leaves to see his family.
In the post-credits scene, Captain America films a public service announcement on the importance of patience and breaks the fourth wall, informing the audience that they waited around for nothing.
Thor: Ragnarok In the mid-credits scene foreshadowing Avengers: Infinity War, Loki visits Thor in his quarters and asks if going to Earth is a good idea as a large spaceship appears in front of theirs.
In the post-credits scene, The Grandmaster attempts to placate the citizens of Sakaar by declaring the revolution a draw.
Black Panther In a mid-credits scene, T'Challa travels to the Vienna International Centre with Nakia, Okoye and Ayo to speak before Everett Ross and the United Nations, stating that Wakanda will open its borders and utilize its resources to help the wider world.
In the post-credits scene, Shuri visits a convalescing Bucky Barnes, who has awoken from cryostasis, and tells him he has much to learn.
Avengers: Infinity War Foreshadowing Captain Marvel, Nick Fury sends a distress signal to an unidentified individual via pager as he, Maria Hill, and several Atlanta pedestrians corrode to dust.
Ant-Man and the Wasp In the mid-credits scene foreshadowing Avengers: Endgame, Hank Pym, Hope van Dyne and Janet van Dyne are watching Scott Lang harvest quantum particles when they start to disintegrate due to Thanos' victory, leaving Lang trapped inside the Quantum Realm.
In the post-credits scene, The Giant Ant continues to play Scott Lang's electronic drum set as the Emergency Alert System echoes throughout Lang's house.
Captain Marvel In the mid-credits scene foreshadowing Avengers: Endgame, Steve Rogers, Natasha Romanoff and James Rhodes are speaking with Bruce Banner about the Transmitter Pager when Captain Marvel appears and demands they tell her where Nick Fury is.
In the post-credits scene, inside Nick Fury's office, Goose jumps onto his desk and, following several attempts, regurgitates the Tesseract.
Spider-Man: Far From Home In the mid-credits scene, Peter Parker and Michelle Jones finish their date as Pat Kiernan presents a breaking news bulletin. To Parker's horror, The Daily Bugle editor J. Jonah Jameson releases footage leaked by the late Quentin Beck in which Beck suggests that Spider-Man murdered him and ordered the deaths of many others, after which he reveals to the world that Parker is Spider-Man.
In the post-credits scene, "Nick Fury" and "Maria Hill" are revealed to be Talos and Soren in disguise. At Soren's urging, Talos contacts the real Fury aboard the S.A.B.E.R. Space Station, and informs him of the unexpected complications they faced in their mission to stop the Elementals.
The Multiverse Saga
Phase Four
Black Widow Foreshadowing Hawkeye, Yelena Belova visits Natasha Romanoff's grave and receives a mission from Valentina Allegra de Fontaine to take down Hawkeye, whom she states is the man responsible for Romanoff's death.
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings In the mid-credits scene, Bruce Banner and Carol Danvers meet with Wong, Shang-Chi, and Katy Chen via holograms to observe the Ten Rings and discuss their origin, discovering that the rings are sending a message. After Danvers and Banner leave, Wong joins Shang-Chi and Chen in spending the night singing karaoke.
In the post-credits scene, Xu Xialing takes her father's spot as leader of the organization, accompanied by Razor Fist and Jon Jon.
Eternals In the mid-credits scene, After the rest of the Eternals were abducted by Arishem, Makkari, Druig, and Thena are adrift in space on the Domo. They encounter Eros, the brother of Thanos, and his troll companion Pip, who know where the rest of their allies are.
In the post-credits scene, Dane Whitman reluctantly opens a case containing an ancient enchanted sword. He is suddenly pulled away by an unknown voice.
Spider-Man: No Way Home In the mid-credits scene, the universe-displaced Eddie Brock drinks at a bar, discussing the Avengers, Thanos, and the Snap with a bartender. Brock and Venom consider finding Spider-Man; however, both of them are suddenly transported back to their universe by Doctor Strange's spell. Unbeknownst to them, a small remnant of the Venom symbiote is left behind on the counter table. This scene was featured in the Sony Pictures Entertainment production Venom: The Last Dance from another perspective.
In the post-credits scene, Betty Brant gives a final report on Midtown News on the day of graduation, showing pictures of their high school years that no longer include or obscure Peter Parker.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness In the mid-credits scene, as he takes a stroll in New York City, Doctor Strange is confronted by Clea about a multiversal incursion that he had caused. She opens a portal to the Dark Dimension and the two walk in to avert it.
In the post-credits scene, Pizza Poppa in New York City-838 stops punching himself in the face as Doctor Strange's spell expires. Overjoyed, he begins laughing, suddenly turning towards the camera to exclaim "It's over!"
Thor: Love and Thunder In the mid-credits scene, while he is being treated for his injuries, Zeus sends out his son Hercules to kill Thor for disgracing his image.
In the post-credits scene, Jane Foster enters Valhalla and is welcomed by Heimdall, who thanks her for protecting his son Axl Heimdallson.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Shuri keeps watching the fire burning her funeral gown on a beach in Haiti when Nakia approaches her and presents her son with T'Challa, Toussaint. Shuri gladly enjoys meeting her nephew and assures Toussaint that she can keep secrets, leading Toussaint to reveal that his true name is actually T'Challa, after his father.
The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special Rocket Raccoon and Cosmo decorate Groot for the holiday season. Groot puts his arms down and drops all the ornaments and tinsel, disappointing both Rocket and Cosmo in the process. Rocket then bemoans that they might have to do another Holiday Special as a result of Groot's impatience.
Phase Five
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania In the mid-credits scene, the Council of Kangs, led by Immortus, Rama-Tut and Centurion meet in the wake of Kang the Conqueror's death as they fear the tampering of the Multiverse will lead to their destruction.
In a cut-down scene from the Loki episode 1893, Loki and Mobius M. Mobius watch Victor Timely at the 1893 Chicago World's Fair give a presentation on the manipulation of time. Loki is horrified, recognizing Timely as a Variant of He Who Remains, to Mobius' disbelief.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 In the mid-credits scene, the Guardians of the Galaxy are in a remote area of a distant planet defending a village of Krylorians from a horde of aliens. As they await the horde, the group share their favorite songs from their Zune. Before launching into battle, Rocket Raccoon puts on his: "Come and Get Your Love" by Redbone.
In the post-credits scene, Peter Quill spends the morning enjoying breakfast with his grandfather, who is reading a newspaper about Kevin Bacon's abduction from Earth.
The Marvels Monica Rambeau wakes up in the hospital wing of the X-Mansion to see Binary sitting by her side. Believing Binary to be her mother, Rambeau is overjoyed much to Binary's confusion. Beast then walks in and informs Rambeau that she's landed in another universe. Beast then leaves to go speak with Charles Xavier, leaving Rambeau and Binary alone yet again. Binary then asks Rambeau to explain who she is.
Deadpool & Wolverine At the TVA Office, Deadpool retrieves TVA surveillance footage of Human Torch vulgarly airing out his thoughts about Cassandra Nova on the way to her lair, in order to address Wolverine's accusations that he got him killed. At the same time, a smaller monitor shows Gambit at Cassandra's Lair, walking past the corpses of Toad, Psylocke, and a henchman and looking up to an Inter-Dimensional Portal opening above the lair.
Captain America: Brave New World Foreshadowing Avengers: Doomsday, Sam Wilson visits Samuel Sterns who is kept imprisoned at the Raft, in which Sterns explains to Wilson that he has seen many different outcomes during his imprisonment, warning Wilson about an oncoming war from different worlds and asks how he would protect Earth from "the others."
Thunderbolts* In the mid-credits scene, a woman shops in a supermarket and encounters Red Guardian in the same aisle. Red Guardian recommends the woman to buy a box of cereal however the woman does not recognize Red Guardian and is frightened by him, quickly walking away.
In the post-credits scene foreshadowing The Fantastic Four: First Steps and Avengers: Doomsday, 14 months later, the New Avengers are in the Watchtower discussing Captain America's intent to sue the team for infringing on the Avengers trademark, with Red Guardian suggesting that they change their name to the "New Avengerz", which the rest disapprove. They receive a signal from space about an extra-dimensional ship entering the atmosphere, footage from a satellite reveals a spacecraft coming into orbit bearing a giant "4" insignia on it.

Phase Four
WandaVision Monica Rambeau finds the entrance to the basement while investigating Agatha Harkness's house but is interrupted by "Pietro Maximoff".
Tyler Hayward reveals that by using a sample of Wanda Maximoff's energy from a drone she destroyed, he was able to finish the restoration of Vision's original body.
Foreshadowing The Marvels, Monica Rambeau meets up with Jimmy Woo as he takes over the Westview Investigation from Tyler Hayward, who is escorted out in handcuffs. Rambeau is called into the local theater by an FBI agent, who reveals herself to be a Skrull sent by an old friend of her mother to inform her about an intergalactic mission.
Foreshadowing Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Wanda Maximoff now lives by herself in the wilderness. As she prepares a water kettle, a Wanda in astral form is studying the Darkhold when she begins to hear her children calling out for help.
The Falcon and The Winter Soldier John Walker welds his own version of Captain America's shield.
Sharon Carter receives an official pardon from the U.S. government and a chance to return to her old division, and then she calls her contacts in Madripoor, announcing that they now have direct access to government resources and weapons.
Loki (Season One) Loki wakes up in the Void and encounters four other alternate versions of himself.
A Time Variance Authority file of Loki is stamped with "Loki will return in Season 2".
What If...? (Season One) Natasha Romanoff defeats Georges Batroc for Peggy Carter, who had returned to her universe after her fight with Ultron. Venturing inside the ship, Romanoff shows Carter the HYDRA Stomper armor locked away, along with someone familiar to her.
Hawkeye The cast of Rogers: The Musical perform "Save The City".
Moon Knight Arthur Harrow is taken from the psychiatric hospital and placed inside a limousine by Jake Lockley—Marc Spector's third alter ego who is still bound to Khonshu—who then proceeds to execute him before driving away.
Ms. Marvel United States Department of Damage Control Agents Sadie Deever and P. Cleary observe video footage of Kamala Khan using her powers at the New Jersey AvengerCon, and decide to bring her into custody.
In a cut-down scene from The Marvels, as Kamala Khan lays down in her bed, her bangle begins to glow and she is suddenly teleported away. Soon after, Captain Marvel suddenly appears in Kamala's closet. Upon discovering her new location, she immediately becomes worried.
I Am Groot (Season One) The many items that Groot used to make his drawing, along with said drawing, are seen to be floating in the outskirts of space.
She-Hulk: Attorney at Law Jennifer Walters laments to Bruce Banner that Steve Rogers was a virgin. When Banner reveals that Rogers lost his virginity during his USO tour in 1943, Walters rejoices.
She-Hulk helps her father with various tasks around the house. She lifts a vehicle, affixes a TV and carries water jugs into the house.
She-Hulk signs Megan Thee Stallion as a client of Goodman, Lieber, Kurtzberg & Holliway. Holden Holliway hears music coming from her office and notices them twerking. She-Hulk then claims that she would kill for her to which Megan asks her to dial it back.
Wong and Madisynn King discuss drinks while watching This Is Us at Kamar-Taj.
Wong appears in Emil Blonsky's prison cell through an Inter-Dimensional Portal and frees him, inviting him to live in Kamar-Taj.
Phase Five
I Am Groot (Season Two) Groot sips his drink before slapping it away out of disgust, hitting Rocket Raccoon.
Loki (Season Two) After killing He Who Remains, Sylvie uses a TemPad to transport herself into a branched timeline, set in 1982 in the outskirts of Oklahoma. She then enters a McDonald's establishment, and the cashier, Jack, asks for her order. She replies with a smile, that she would try 'everything'.
What If...? (Season Two) Topaz finds the Grandmaster liquidated after his race with Iron Man and Valkyrie.
Echo Foreshadowing Daredevil: Born Again, Wilson Fisk listens to a news broadcast about candidates needed for the upcoming New York City mayoral election.
Daredevil: Born Again (Season One) Frank Castle tricks Anthony Petruccio and starts breaking free from his cage.
