"Listen Up!" is the first segment of the sixty-eighth episode of Big City Greens.
Cricket, Tilly and Remy are searching the garage for a rat when they suddenly come across a box labeled "Property of Bill - DANGER". They search it and discover that it is full of old toys and games. Tilly and Remy take a keen interest in a card game called One-O and decide to play it with Nancy and Gramma Alice. Bill arrives just as Cricket finds an old toy tank containing a full roll of poppers. He warns him about using them, but Cricket drifts off and completely ignores him. While Bill goes to blow the yard out, Cricket decides to take the whole roll of poppers and smashes it with a hammer. This results in Cricket's hearing going out as he tries to hide this from Bill so that they can fulfill his chores.
Meanwhile, Tilly, Remy, Nancy and Alice have started a game of One-O and cannot figure out why Bill had it in his danger box. They quickly start to become competitive with Nancy trying to get rid of all her cards, Remy stymieing Alice by having her draw more cards and Tilly resorting to cheating. Remy examines the box and realizes that the family on the cover is fighting and they agree to destroy the game. Cricket fakes his hearing and simply follows Bill around the yard and trying to interpret his instructions, only to completely mess them up. He nevertheless, manages to get by all the way up until Cricket has to help Bill reattach a new pipe to the roof.
Cricket falls down the chimney just as Remy lights the fireplace to destroy the game. Bill tosses his tool belt down to him and tries to instruct him. Just in time, Cricket's hearing finally comes back and he follows Bill's instructions on how to escape. Upon getting back up, Bill tells Cricket that when he does not listen, he is not angry with him, but rather scared that something terrible will happen to him. Cricket agrees that from now on he will continue to listen to him in the future. Bill, ironically, tells Cricket that he once failed to listen to Alice and lost his hearing with the same poppers. Benny finds one of the One-O cards, undestroyed, and takes an interest in it.
