It is a farm that Pearl Gesner owns and where her livestock reside. She takes care of all her farm animals on Little Patch of Heaven and keeps fond photo memories of them as well. However, when Sheriff Sam Brown arrives with another bank notice that Pearl is unable to pay, she faces possible foreclosure of her farm and losing all of her livestock, especially after Alameda Slim, disguised as an auctioneer named Yancy O'Del, had closed the deal with the Sheriff.
In the end, Pearl's farm cows Maggie (previously owned by a cattle rancher named Abner Dixon), Grace and Mrs. Calloway track down and capture a disguised Alameda Slim. When Slim's cover is then blown, Sam and Pearl are shocked to discover that the auctioneer who is buying the farm is Alameda Slim, and the Sheriff arrests the outlaw after he tried to yodel. Pearl then uses the reward money for the outlaw's capture to pay what she owes the bank and save her farm. She then re-opens her farm and makes extra space for her three dairy cows, and Sam, along with Pearl and all the farm animals (including Junior and Barry and Bob, who had moved into the farm), are seen dancing in celebration.
As part of a promotion for the film, Little Patch of Heaven took over the Big Thunder Ranch at Disneyland's Frontierland with a re-introduction of a petting zoo and the Ranch's cabin being billed as Pearl's. Well after this promotion ended, a few props remained, such as a wanted poster of Alameda Slim.
