Little Town is an upcoming American television series which is produced by ABC Signature and broadcast on Disney+ . The series will be a prequel to the 2017 film Beauty and the Beast .

Working on Disney's live-action remake of Beauty and the Beast .[8] Shortly after the cancellation of their planned Disney+ series, Muppets Live Another Day . Evans started working on the potential project, they pitched their idea to Disney, who green-lighted the series for Disney+.
In July 2020, composer Alan Menken revealed that the series will be titled The Little Town ,[9] a nod to the lyrics of the song "Belle " from the 1991 Beauty and the Beast film . On July 31, 2020, it was confirmed that the series will simply be called Little Town .[10]
On December 10, 2020, the series was confirmed as a prequel and will debut on Disney+.[11]
On February 10, 2022, it was announced the production on the series "will not be moving forward", due to "creative reasons". The series has been put on hold, though no start up date has been announced.[12]
On August 13, 2024, when asked about the progress of the series, Luke Evans responded "sadly... not on the table," implying that the series was officially dead.[13]
