Lynda Jean Cordova Carter is an American actress, singer, songwriter, and beauty pageant titleholder, who is best known for her role as the famous DC Comics Amazonian superheroine Wonder Woman in the ABC/CBS television series of the same name from 1975 to 1979. She also played Governor Jessman in Super Troopers and its 2018 sequel and Asteria in Wonder Woman 1984.
For Disney, she made an appearance as a guest star on The Muppet Show in 1980 and later played Principal Powers in the 2005 superhero comedy Sky High.
