Michael Connor "M.C." Gainey is an American actor and voice actor. For Disney, he played the role of Lewis in the 1992 Disney movie The Mighty Ducks, Major Flower in the 1998 Disney movie Meet the Deedles, Twister in the 1999 Disney Channel Original Movie Horse Sense, Roadie in Disney's 2002 movie The Country Bears, Pappy Joe in Girl Meets World, and voiced the Captain of the Guards in the 2010 Disney animated feature film Tangled, a role he reprised in the television series of the same name. He also played Tom Friendly in Lost, Murdock in Wild Hogs, Claude in Desperate Housewives, Swamp Thing Williams in Con Air, and Dom in the ABC TV show Speechless.
Gainey was born in Jackson, Mississippi and attended the University of Southern Mississippi before switching his profession to acting and attended the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco, California. He served in the U.S. Army and was the company mailman at his post in Chakmakli, Turkey in 1969.
In 1981, he made his big-screen debut in Pennies from Heaven starring Steve Martin and Bernadette Peters. He has since appeared in films such as Frances, Starman, Soul Man, Two Idiots in Hollywood, Geronimo: An American Legend, Citizen Ruth, The Fan, The Haunting (1999), Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, Sideways, Are We There Yet?, The Dukes of Hazzard, Mr. Woodcock, All About Steve, and Django Unchained. His television credits include Dynasty, The Dukes of Hazzard, Knight Rider, Designing Women, The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr., Walker, Texas Ranger, Criminal Minds, CSI, Cheers, Days of Our Lives, Against the Law, The X-Files, Desperate Housewives, The Mentalist, Burn Notice, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Matlock, Bones, The Young and the Restless, Justified, Glee, The Walking Dead, The Mentalist, Kingdom, Riverdale, 9-1-1, and Bosch.
