Mads Dittmann Mikkelsen is a Danish actor, voice actor, and dancer, who is best known for his roles Le Chiffre in the 2006 James Bond film Casino Royale and Dr. Hannibal Lecter in the TV series Hannibal from 2013 to 2015. He also portrays Gellert Grindelwald in the third installment of the Fantastic Beasts film series.
For Disney, he portrayed Tristan in King Arthur, Kaecilius in Doctor Strange, and Galen Erso in Rogue One. He also provided the Danish voiceover for Randall Boggs in the Danish dub of Monsters, Inc., and for Chick Hicks in the Danish dub of Cars. Additionally, he portrayed Jürgen Voller in Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. He will next voice Kiros in Mufasa: The Lion King.
Prior to acting, Mikkelsen was a professional dancer.

- Mikkelsen was considered for the role of Malekith in Thor: The Dark World,[1] but at the end, Christopher Eccleston was cast instead.
- Mads Mikkelsen's older brother, Lars Mikkelsen, voiced Grand Admiral Thrawn in the third season of Star Wars Rebels and will physically play the role in Ahsoka.
- He is the second Marvel actor to voice Chick Hicks, after Michael Keaton.
