Mads Dittmann Mikkelsen is a Danish actor and dancer who is best known for his roles Le Chiffre in the 2006 James Bond film Casino Royale and Dr. Hannibal Lecter in the TV series Hannibal from 2013 to 2015.
For Disney, he will play Galen Erso in Rogue One and will also play Kaecilius in Doctor Strange. He also played Tristan in King Arthur. In the Danish version of Monsters, Inc., he played Randall Boggs, and he is also the Danish voice of Chick Hicks from Cars.
Prior to acting, Mikkelsen was a professional dancer.
Mikkelsen's brother, Lars Mikkelsen, will be playing Grand Admiral Thrawn in the third season of Star Wars Rebels.
