Maggie Nelson is the sole female major character in Angels in the Outfield. She is the keeper of the foster home where she raises Roger Bowman, J.P., and for less time, Miguel. For some reason, she does not go to baseball games, but she does believe in angels. She was portrayed by Brenda Fricker.
