Mane is a character from the Disney Channel series, Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur. She is Lunella Lafayette's sentient hair turned evil.

Appearances[]

Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur[]

Mane made her debut in "Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow", where she appeared as the main antagonist. Wanting to "fix" her hair after being criticized, Lunella Lafayette creates a compound that will straighten her hair. Unfortunately, it causes her hair to fall out, leaving her bald. Unbeknownst to her, her hair gains sentience and escapes her lab. After putting on a wig called Sheba, Lunella's superhero exploits are marred by her wig, but also by the sentient hair, whom Lunella is unaware of save for the hair samples she finds. Soon, her hair begins to take it out on her and Casey Calderon, destroying her robot project, drowning Sheba in a pot of stew and destroying all Casey's entire wig collection. Lunella is surprised to see her hair come to life, named Mane, as she steals the compound she created and plans to make an army of hair people to her whim. Lunella creates her own neutralizer, and along with Devil Dinosaur locate Mane's lair. Mane then sends her sidekick, Devil Dryersaur, to attack the heroes, whom she brought to life by jamming a dryer with some of her hair and then using a stolen experimental conditioner created by Lunella. Devil Dryersaur was then crushed by Devil Dinosaur, to Mane’s disgrace. Mane then takes on a form similar to Lunella and the two do battle. Lunella realizes that they are too similar to one another and stops, admitting that she was wrong to take her for granted and wants to take better care of her from now on. Mane accepts and neutralizes herself back onto Lunella's head.
