Marc Evan Platt is an American film, TV, and theatre producer, who has won several award nominations. He is the founder of the self-named Marc Platt Productions, responsible for films, such as the Legally Blonde franchise, Josie and the Pussycats, The Perfect Man, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, Bridge of Spies, La La Land, and The Trial of the Chicago 7. He also served as an executive producer for the TV miniseries Empire Falls and produced the Broadway musical Wicked.
For Disney, he produced the 2014 musical fantasy film based on Stephen Sondheim's 1986 Broadway musical Into the Woods, the 2018 fantasy sequel Mary Poppins Returns, the 2021 crime comedy film Cruella, and the 2023 live-action adaptation of the musical fantasy film The Little Mermaid. He also served as the executive producer for the 2019 live-action adaptation of musical fantasy film Aladdin.
