Mark Stephen Waters in an American film director, producer, and screenwriter. He directed as well as executive-produced Head Over Heels, Just Like Heaven, The Spiderwick Chronicles, Ghosts of Girlfriends Past, Mr. Popper's Penguins, and Vampire Academy. Aside from directing, Waters produced the 2009 drama 500 Days of Summer.

For Disney, he directed the 1997 Miramax Film comedy The House of Yes, the 2003 remake of Freaky Friday, and the 2020 film, Magic Camp.

He is the husband of actress Dina Spybey-Waters, who has also made several apperences in his films.
