Mark Stephen Waters in an American film director, producer, and screenwriter. He is probably best known for directing the 2004 teenage comedy Mean Girls. He also directed as well as executive-produced other films, such as Head over Heels, Just Like Heaven, The Spiderwick Chronicles, Ghosts of Girlfriends Past, Mr. Popper's Penguins, and Vampire Academy.
He is the husband of actress Dina Spybey-Waters, who has also made several apperences in his films.
Aside from directing, Waters produced the 2005 comedy Sorry, Haters and the 2009 drama 500 Days of Summer.
