Martin Eugene Mull was an American actor, comedian, painter, and recording artist. For Disney, he played Frank Maris in Lots of Luck and Doug Robinson in Beverly Hills Family Robinson. He also voiced Governor Kevin in Teamo Supremo and Paul Prickly in Recess. In addition, he appeared as an agoraphobic hermit in The Golden Girls Season 6 episode "Snap Out Of It".
Mull was born in Chicago, but spent most of his childhood North Olmsted, Ohio. He lived there until he was 15 years old when his family moved to New Canaan, Connecticut. He attended and graduated from New Canaan High School and Rhode Island School of Design. Initially, going into show business through songwriting, Mull soon found another outlet through acting when cast as Garth Gimble in the nighttime absurdist soap opera Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman.
He soon found television roles to play and, over the years, Mull became know for roles, such as Leon Carp in ABC's Roseanne, Willard Kraft on Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Gene Parmesan in Arrested Development, and Crawford Whittemore in Fox's Dads as well as voicing Vlad Masters/Plasmius in Nickelodeon's Danny Phantom. His other television credits included Taxi, Burke's Law, The Wild Thornberrys, Dexter's Laboratory, Reba, American Dad!, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Two and a Half Men, The Ranch, NCIS: Los Angeles, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Bob's Burgers. While Mull appeared in films, such as Mr. Mom, Rented Lips, Mrs. Doubtfire, Jingle All the Way, he known for his role as Col. Mustard in 1985's Clue starring Tim Curry.
