Marvel's Avengers is an upcoming video game based on the characters of Avengers franchise, developed by Eidos Montréal and Crystal Dynamics (which behind Deus Ex series and Tomb Raider series) and published by Square Enix.

On May 29, 2019, this title was revealed at Square Enix's E3 2019 event.

Marvel's Avengers begins at A-Day, where Captain America (Jeff Schine), Iron Man (Nolan North), Hulk (Troy Baker), Black Widow (Laura Bailey), and Thor (Travis Willingham) are unveiling a hi-tech Avengers Headquarters in San Francisco — including the reveal of their own helicarrier powered by an experimental energy source. The celebration turns deadly when a catastrophic accident results in the massive devastation of the city and kills Captain America. Blamed for the tragedy, the Avengers disband. The game begins five years later, with all superheroes outlawed and the world in peril by an new organization called AIM, who replaced the heroes with robotics.[1]

  • This game is the first title of The Avengers Project.
    • This is the the second collaboration franchise between Square Enix and Disney after Kingdom Hearts series.
      • This is also first collaboration franchise between Square Enix and Marvel (which is owned by Disney).
      • Before the Square Enix's acquisition of Eidos in 2009, Crystal Dynamics has developed games based on Disney properties like Walt Disney World Quest: Magical Racing Tour and 102 Dalmatians: Puppies to the Rescue, which are published by Eidos Interactive.
  • Upon the announcement of the reveal trailer on E3 2019, some fans were upset for the character design of the members of the Avengers, which doesn't look like their likeness of their counterpart in MCU films nor comic books.
    • The absence of Hawkeye also upset the fans of the franchise.
