"Mash into Me" is the second segment of the ninteeth episode of Pepper Ann. It aired on October 31, 1998.

Synopsis[]

Moose's friend, Crash, begins harassing Pepper Ann after he finds out that she looks just like his favorite superheroine, Regenica.

Plot[]

Moose and Crash read the latest issue of Genetic Dozen where the latter openly voices his love for the character Regenica. As he lists off what makes her such an excellent character, Crash suddenly realizes that many of Regenica's traits match that of Pepper Ann's and immediately falls in love with her. He proceeds to try and appease her any which way he can and get her attention. While initially unaware, Pepper Ann slowly begins to take notice of Crash's sudden infatuation with her and quickly grows annoyed.

Nicky and Milo admit that they think that Crash's crush on her is cute and that there is technically nothing wrong with it as he is not harming anyone, but Pepper Ann thinks otherwise and imagines a scenario where he transforms her into Regenica. Angered, Pepper Ann finally tells Crash to leave her alone and he agrees; claiming that he will fast until she returns his affection. Milo and Nicky reprimand Pepper Ann and tell her that what Crash did is no different from how Pepper Ann reacts around Craig Bean.

Pepper Ann realizes she messed up when she sees how upset Moose is as she still cares about Crash. Pepper Ann decides to make amends and visits him; apologizing for her behavior, but stating that she just wants to be friends. The moment is ruined when Pepper Ann discovers that Crash has already started eating again after reading the latest issue of Genetic Dozen and falling for the character Machina Girl who looks like Nicky. Pepper Ann chases him down the street. Later, Crash and Moose meet up to go skateboarding.
