Matthew Broderick is an American actor and singer, best known for his roles as David Lightman in WarGames, the titular character in Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Leo Bloom in The Producers, Colonel Robert Gould Shaw in Glory, Steven Kovacs in The Cable Guy, and Dr. Niko "Nick" Tatopoulos in Godzilla, and Ben Singer in Wonderful World. He also voiced Adam Flayman in DreamWorks' Bee Movie and the titular character in the 2008 adaptation of The Tale of Desperaux.
For Disney, he voiced Simba in The Lion King, The Lion King II: Simba's Pride, and The Lion King 1½. He also portrayed the titular character and RoboGadget in Inspector Gadget, and Professor Harold Hill in The Music Man.

- Broderick was considered to voice Flik in A Bug's Life, along with several other actors before the role was given to Dave Foley.
- Broderick was considered to voice Mike Wazowski in Monsters, Inc., along with several other actors before the role was given to Billy Crystal.
- Broderick was also considered for the role of Chicken Little in Chicken Little, along with Michael J. Fox and David Spade. The role was eventually given to Zach Braff.[1]
