Matthew William Lawrence is an American actor and Joey Lawrence's younger brother and Andrew Lawrence's older brother. He is best known for his many film and television roles. For Disney, he voiced Tombo Kopoli in the Engish dub of Studio Ghibli's Kiki's Delivery Service. He also acted with his brothers in the 2001 Disney Channel Original Movie Jumping Ship (the sequel to the 1999 Disney Channel Original Movie Horse Sense; where he played an uncredited role as a cowboy at an airport named Jake Hunter). In 1990, he also portrayed Jack Hunter in ABC's, Boy Meets World, and in 1995, he starred as Matt Roman in Brotherly Love along with his brothers. Additionally, he played Billy in the 2002 Touchstone Pictures film The Hot Chick and Dave Heinrich in H-E Double Hockey Sticks.

Lawrence was born in Abington Township, Pennsylvania and attended classes at Abington Friends School. He began acting in the mid-1980s, his first role being that of Danny Carrington in Dynasty. He studied acting at HB Studio in New York City and continued as a child actor through the early 1990s.

In films, Lawrence appeared in Planes, Trains and Automobiles, Tales from the Darkside: The Movie, Mrs. Doubtfire, The Hairy Bird, Rusty: A Dog's Tale (as the voice of the titular character), Brothers of the Frontier, The Glow, and Mistletoe Mixup.

His television credits include Superhuman Samurai Syber-Squad, Gimme a Break!, Art Attack, Melissa & Joey, Blossom, Drexell's Class, Walter & Emily, Bringing up Jack, Adventures from the Book of Virtues, CSI: Miami, and Hawaii Five-0.
