Mayor Mel Hansock is a supporting character from the Disney Channel animated series Big City Greens. He is the eccentric and childlike mayor of Big City who actually isn't much help.

Mayor Hansock is a rather childish and simple minded mayor. While he is nice for the most part, he is also easily frightened and swayed by the most pedestrian of things. He always calls for his security officers to come and protect or comfort him in times of duress. Hansock is blissfully ignorant of real issues, instead focusing on things that seem interesting to him, or at least concern him personally, such as having the entire security force helping him look for his "Shmoopy" instead of helping the Greens against the return of Chip Whistler.
Physical appearance[]
Mayor Hansock is an egg shaped man, with green apple colored skin and grey fuzzy hair around his bald head. He wears a blue suit, brown shoes, a red tie, and a sash around him that says Mayor. When going to bed, he wears purple pajamas and a matching sleeping cap.
Trivia[]
- His last name is a pun on the word "Hand Sock" (most likely a nod to how his mayoral job has little effect on the people of Big City), as well as a reference to the New York village of Hancock.
- Hansock wearing a mayor sash around him at all times is most likely a nod to the character of Mayor Quimby from The Simpsons.
