Mele from Aunty's Beach House: Aulani, a Disney Resort and Spa is an album of favorite Disney songs translated into Hawaiian for Disney's Aulani Resort and Spa in Hawaii. ("Mele" being the Hawaiian word for "music", "songs", and "chants".) The songs can be heard on the elevators at the resort as well as throughout Aunty's Beach House, the kids' area. The songs were produced, translated, and arranged by Hawaiian musician Kenneth Makuakane, and performed by noted Hawaiian musicians Lehua Kalima, John "Duke" Mailolo, Kona Abergas, Alden Levi, Sara Sonomura, and the Kamehameha Schools Children's Chorus, the very same choir who did vocals on the Lilo & Stitch songs.
The album won the Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award (the Hawaiian music award) for Compilation Album of the Year (awarded to Makuakane) and was also nominated in the same awards for Engineering.
