Melora Diane Hardin is an American actress and singer. She is best known for her role as Jan Levinson in NBC's The Office. For Disney, she portrayed Carmel in The North Avenue Irregulars, South Seas singer in The Rocketeer, Lorelai in Hannah Montana: The Movie, Claire Poulet in Tower of Terror, Mrs. Carol Spencer in The Hot Chick, Trudy Monk/Cameron in the Universal Television/ABC TV show Monk, and Shelley Meyers in the episode "Say Hello to My Little Friend" of the ABC TV show Scandal. She also plays Patricia in A Million Little Things. Additionally, she starred in Freeform's The Bold Type.
Hardin was born in Houston, Texas but moved to San Francisco, California at age five. She attended Patrick Henry Junior High School and Ulysses S. Grant High School before graduating from Sarah Lawrence College.
Hardin started her acting career as the young star of the television series Thunder. She has since appeared in shows such as The Love Boat, Diff'rent Strokes, Quincy, M. E., Little House on the Prairie, Quantum Leap, Dirty Dancing, Murder, She Wrote, Matlock, Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, Friends, Diagnosis: Murder, Cover Me, Family Guy, Judging Amy, Monk, Outlaw, Scandal, Transparent, and The Blacklist. Her film credits include Soul Man, The Undercover Kid, Absolute Power, 27 Dresses, 17 Again, and You which she also produced and directed.
