Menace on the Mountain is a 1970 telefilm produced by Walt Disney Productions. It was originally broadcast on NBC as a two-part episode on The Wonderful World of Disney on March 1, and March 8, 1970. It was released theatrically in 1972. The telefilm was directed by Vincent McEveety.
Plot[]
During the Civil War, Jed McIver joins the Confederate Army, and asks his son, Jamie, to take care of his family in his absence. He decides to hunt for a mountain lion to collect a bounty and use the money from that to pay the taxes due. But he also has to contend with a bullying rival, who is also after the same bounty.
