Merle and Matsuye are supporting characters that appear in the Disney Channel series Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur. They are old friends of Mimi Lafayette and allies to Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur.

Personalities[]
Merle and Matsuye are typical opposites. Merle displays an extroverted personality and is very talkative. She is much more embracing towards the people around her, especially Mimi and Lunella, the latter of whom she calls a "clone" of her friend. Matsuye is much more introverted and slightly cynical, though not mean. While she does not like being around people, she does love Mimi and Lunella, and especially has a strong attachment to Devil whom she clearly favors. The one thing neither woman can deny is that they love each other very much.
Physical appearances[]
Merle is a short stout woman of African-American descent. Her hair is light brown and done up and she wears pearl earrings, dark brown shirt, orange jacket, blue pants, and black boots.
Matsuye is a tall thin woman of Japanese descent. She has done up black hair, pear earrings, black shirt, blue jacket, a beige scarf, brown pants, and black boots.
Trivia[]
- While only briefly hinted at in "Suit Up!", it was confirmed by Lunella in "Dancing With Myself" that Merle and Matsuye are indeed a couple.
