The short begins with Dorothy finding her Christmas present and trying to tug on the ribbon. She is stopped by Dylan, however, reminding her to wait until Christmas to open it. Dolly watches and plots with Dee Dee and Dizzy to get the gift for Dorothy.
Dorothy heads to bed, and Dylan begins his guard duty of the presents. Dylan then decides to build a watch tower out of said gifts. Dolly sends Dee Dee and Dizzy in to create a distraction, but Dylan sets up a trip alarm of bells. Dolly is able to dodge all of these bells, but Dee Dee and Dizzy get tangled up in them. With Dylan's attention on Dee Dee and Dizzy, Dolly is able to sneak in to the watch tower and get Dorothy's present. Dylan, realising that Dolly is in the tower, returns and catches her. The two wrestle for the present, causing the watch tower to collapse, and getting both Dolly and Dylan tangled in the Christmas tree, with Dee Dee and Dizzy. The Pups watch as Dorothy's present falls to the ground and narrowly misses getting crushed by a ladder, before a random bolt of lightning reduces the present to a ribbon sitting on a pile of ash.
The next morning, Dorothy comes downstairs, with Dolly, Dylan, Dee Dee and Dizzy (still tangled in the tree) worried about how Dorothy is going to react about what happened to her present. Fortunately, it turns out that Dorothy just wanted to play with the ribbon, which she happily does, much to the relief of the others as they laugh at how cute Dorothy is.

- This has the highest character count out of all of Season One's shorts, with five (Dolly, Dylan, Dizzy, Dee-Dee & Dorothy), with the possible exception of "Yoga Pups", if one counts a stampede of puppies.
