Reasons: I have a lot on my plate and not enough to for the wiki community
Other Reasons: The Dumbo remake
To anyone who may know me and my history in the Disney wiki, I bid you the best and hope that we may bump into each other again sometime in the future, especially Weedle McHairybug aka Eric, Ratigan6688, and TRIMC 95
Just wanted to let you know that right now, I'm working on a new blog entry, this time dealing with Maleficent, or more accurately, her powers. It was inspired by Hey1234 basically saying Maleficent was weaker than the Three Good Fairies despite all evidence in the film pointing to the contrary (and more specifically, his claim that she couldn't revive Diablo from petrification). I'll also compare her powers to the Shield of Virtue and the Sword of Truth (pre-enhancements, obviously), and I'll use a lot of evidence from both Sleeping Beauty itself and other sources to prove my point as well (I don't buy the idea that Maleficent can't revive Diablo from petrification, largely because her magic was already powerful enough to render the Three Good Fairies unable to outright remove the curse, which, if they had been more powerful than her, they clearly wouldn't have such problems doing so).
I am looking forward to it! Been awhile since i've been on, so don't be offended if I am not as active as I used to be. Life has gotten busy lately, and its about to get even hard lol
In regards to what you mentioned; That's also not counting the laws of magic too such as the fact that even if the Three Good Fairies had the power they cannot undo it because only the person who preformed the spell can remove it.
Hi Elephant Triple 7. I noticed your blog about a Disney Defense about Pinocchio. Out of curiosity, what exactly are those Disney Defense blogs about? Are they about both sides of a fan's opinions about the films?
Basically Disney Defense is (hopefully) is going to be a series of blogs that go over the criticisms of a Disney Animated film like Pinocchio or Snow White. Then after watching the movies myself I make a blog that gives a counter argument on the movie's behalf.
Already finished the Disney Defense of Snow White & 7D, so if you want to read that blog as a reference thats the best thing I can point to thus far. (It is only the begining, so it maybe a bit rusty)
And yes, I do intend to work on that blog you requested regarding my views on Belle. As a matter fact, that will be among the first things I intend to do now that I'm back. I'll have it up by next Sunday (just need to take care of something first).
Also, you know how you mentioned you didn't like Gotham, and how I took that to heart and stopped watching it by the second season. I'm about to do something similar with Supergirl after the mess that was Season 2 (there were a lot of reasons, including Alex's handling. I'd get into more specifics, but considering I just got unbanned, I'd rather not if I can help it.).
Welcome back and I look forward to reading your view on Belle objectively. I'll admit that my position has softened after the whole live-action remake of B&B cause now I can see how much worse things could have been. More than the just simply appreciating what the animated movie was.
I do not recall talking about Gotham might have been somebody else, as I have never watched the show to begin with.
O and be sure to check out my top ten all time favorite childhood movies, worked really hard on them ;)
another thing, if you get blocked again just let me know, so I can try and vouche for you. It might not mean much to an admin, but it should show that people so long as they are not being trolls or absoultly rude can have a right to a different opinion.
BTW, remember when I said I'd get started on that blog today? Well, I've run into a bit of a hiccup with that plan, since the person I was going to meet wasn't actually at church today, so I may have to wait until Summer is over, or at least until I get her email so I can ask my questions there without having to meet face to face. But I do still intend to write the blog. In fact, I'll probably resort to a draft on Microsoft Word for the blog in question.
Good news, I'll be able to get started on working on that blog very soon. After I talk with that person I alluded to earlier, I'll get started on the blog ASAP. I just need to wait until this coming Sunday before I get started.
We usually meet in the Parish hall after the 10:30 Mass when they're distributing donuts, but they closed for the summer, and since that was the only place I was guaranteed to meet up with her, I had to hold off until they open it back up again. It's going to be opening back up this coming Sunday, so as soon as I ask her what I need to ask (it relates to Beauty and the Beast, both the Disney and original versions, and some stuff I've had to deal with regarding the moral), I'll start the blog. Sorry for the delay on this.
