  • Hi.

Are you able to watch Youtube? I'm asking because I want to address some things to you, and the last person I addressed these things to didn't have access to Youtube, so I was pretty much forced to make an exceedingly long post quoting a huge script for a game to get my point across. I'll give you a hint, it deals with my... well, very disturbing views of God (I may be Christian and try to follow God's laws, definitely out of fear rather than love, but let's just say that I don't exactly view God as a good person at all, even though I acknowledge that Satan's far worse).

    • Based on your response to that other discussion we had, you probably have Youtube, so I might as well cover these things. I'll leave out any video links to Kefka, since you're probably already familiar with him via your edits on the Final Fantasy Wiki (though how he behaved in the ending is essentially how I think of omnipotent beings, well, him and Frieza), but the others probably apply, namely the Patriots from Metal Gear Solid 2, Frieza from Dragon Ball Z, The Architect from the Matrix Trilogy, Dr. Weil from Mega Man Zero 3, among others:

You can also look at this tidbit from Metal Gear Solid 2 for further information as well, which is not in the script:

Colonel: Raiden, you have to beat [Solidus Snake]! This is your last duty! // Raiden: We're not just pawns in some simulation game, you know! // Rosemary: Yes, you are. You're nothing but mere weapons. No different from fighter jets or tanks. // Raiden: What the -- // Colonel: The old model destroyed four years ago was "REX"... // Rose: The new amphibious model is "RAY"... // Colonel: Both of these are the same as the code names used by the U.S. Armed Forces to refer to Japanese war planes during World War II. // Rose: Your code name "Raiden" too, comes from the Japanese navy's name for one of its interceptors... // Raiden: Stop it! I'm not a weapon!! // Rose: Oh really? Do you know the code name the U.S. Armed Forces used for the Japanese fighter "Raiden"? // Colonel: It was "Jack". Both of you are just weapons to be used and thrown away. // Rose: Just weapons to be used on the battlefield. Just pawns in a game -- exactly as you said. // Colonel: And a weapon has no right to think for itself! Now, it's time to fulfill your purpose! Defeat [Solidus Snake]!

So, yeah, you probably can guess why I think God as not exactly a loving father, but more like a cold-hearted totalitarian monster who will execute anyone who doesn't follow him. Being exposed to Raiders of the Lost Ark's ending at a very young age certainly doesn't help at all either.

  • Hi.

Based on your edits to the Ursula's lair page, you seem to have Marvel TLM comics, or at the very least Serpent Teen. Assuming you have more than that issue, can you upload several pages to the Ariel/Gallery/Animation and comics page? I set up the comics section, yet I myself don't have any TLM-related comics. If you have any Disney Adventures comics, its also appreciated if you can upload any TLM-related comics from that source as well. I already took care of placing the images you already uploaded relating to Ursula's lair into the gallery, so you don't have to worry about moving those ones that directly feature Ariel on them.

On a related note, there are also some novelizations for TLM in the gallery as well, and we might need to create articles on them.

    • Weedle! It is nice to hear from you again!

Actually, Serpent Teen was of the Disney comics line, which were more serious than the Marvel Little Mermaid comics which came later. Also, like 75% of all hermaphrodites I was raised (mistakenly) as a boy and thus generally couldn't act upon my fondness for The Little Mermaid (though I did get the NES video game out of stark defiance, which was not unlike that of Ariel herself now that I think on it), and thus I didn't actually read the comics when I was little. However, I did find scans of the first two issues (the second being "Serpent Teen") online, and shall start adding them starting tomorrow. I'll upload them in bits at first, but can put up the entirety of both issues if it please you.

    • As long as those bits have Ariel on the pages, that would work very well. We'll probably need to upload all of them later on when we create the articles for the comic book issues themselves.

And it wasn't Marvel? Oh well, I'll try to create an article for Disney Comics, and correct the gallery as well with that new information.

    • OK then; I shall start with the ones featuring Princess Ariel, and then they can be moved to the Disney Comics article along with the rest of the two issues when it is ready!

  • Dead or Alive was actually made in Japan (alongside Love Hina and Battle Vixens, and Samus Aran from the Metroid franchise) and yet the girls in those franchises still had the same type of body as the Bimbettes. Not that I necessarily think that should be the way things are, but its still the way things are, and there's not a thing I can do to change that (I'm not God).

Besides, the time period of the film was just a few short years before the French Revolution, and Lady Liberty (the woman leading the charge in a propaganda painting for the French Revolution)'s chest was definitely not going to fit wine glasses, making that saying completely null.

    • Thank you for the sources, and let me say that so far as I am aware, you are quite correct in your clarifications!

    • You're welcome. And for the record, it's because of how Cecile generally behaved and praised May 1968 among other things (like Foucault going all out on homosexuality, the hippie movement, or how Dr. Weil acted regarding how the power to make people work for you is the ultimate joy that only humans can ever understand in Mega Man Zero, or how, as you probably know from editing Final Fantasy Wiki, Kefka Palazzo made clear he enjoys destruction precisely because people are killed as a result and explicitly finds genuine enjoyment in "music" composed of hundreds of voices screaming in unison, and the Joker having similar sentiments to Kefka. Also the triplets and to some extent Fifi being depicted as stupid while showing happiness.) that left me VERY reluctant to embrace happiness (if happiness truly involves destroying laws and causing amorality, I'd rather be completely dour and bitter and yet remain on God's side than happy as a clam through hedonism and insanity and going against God). In fact, Ariel's probably the only exception I can think of regarding happiness, where someone is happy WITHOUT being stupid, insane, or hedonistic, which is also why I get very angry when people act as though Ariel's not a good character and just spoiled just because if she doesn't get Eric, she'll be "miserable for the rest of [her] life", especially when unlike Foucault, Kefka, Palpatine, Joker, May 1968ers, and the like, Ariel's pursuit of happiness had absolutely nothing to do with idiocy, hedonism, or psychopathy. I can name one person who thinks that way about Ariel: Taran Wanderer 2 on IMDb, a notorious Ariel hater.

I guess from your response, you can watch Youtube? Because I did ask before and you didn't respond earlier, and I kind of need them soon.
