Hi, After noticing your recent activity, your edits have become over-specific, drawn out, and repetitive, with some based on mild speculation in regards to a character's abilities and roles. I suggest you review your editing style and try to improve it to avoid edits containing these potential outliers.
Okay, but howcome now dark magic does not always connotate with witchcraft? Isn't that a bit contradictory (how come sorceresses and witches are different beings...)? I know it dosen't always, it is merely a form of it.
The background citizens of Halloween Town will be grouped into one article similar to Sugar Rush Racers or Titans. You can create the article now if you'd like. If not, you can wait for someone else to create it and contribute to it once it's up. Rest assured, the Wolfman and anyone else with their own article will be deleted and moved to this group page.
I am not permitting the fantasy category to every page you consider to be a fantasy film. I don't wish to wake up in the morning knowing you have been going about adding it to every page, even when there are pages that don't qualify. Enough.
If they were meant to be under fantasy we would have done that ourselves ages ago. I'm going to ask you one last time to discontinue all categorisations.
Truth be told, you are finding issue with virtually nothing, there is no argument here, plus you sound very paranoid and uptight about nothing. But to be factually honest, all films I've put under such category are fantasies, so I don't seem what the issue with. Chill out, this is not a matter of life or death.
It is complicated. We run a highly exclusive Wiki, and there are certain things you can and can't do here. You think you're in the right but you're in the wrong a few areas. Because of that you don't understand the system or why we don't do that when it's done somewhere else. Nothing here is all black and white.
Look mate, I get the idea of your intentions but you seem to be taking it for granted. You can't just categorise every film that relates to the topic. There are lots of things to think about. The same goes for editing.
Categorization can get into a disorganised mess, and we try our best to keep things organised and tidy. As for the category itself, we may need to tweak it a bit, which I will discuss with the Admins.
I've just been talking to SilverFlight, and she finds that category pointless to have, so we've decided to delete when able to. For reference, Thor is a superhero movie, entirely different genre. Fantasia is a musical, not a fantasy.
Well that is good, but Thor and Fantasia are both fantasies. Thor is based on Marvel's self-titled fantasy comic series and concerns Norse Mythology and the powerful magic associated with it. Fantasia is also a fantasy, as each of its segments concern magic and the supernatural, in some form or another, with fairies, sorcery, and demons.
Fantasy, science fiction and horror are the three genres of speculative fiction and thus are highly speculative, and they often overlap with each other. Superhero fiction, can combine all three, as shown with Fantastic Four & Iron Man (science fiction), Thor & Doctor Strange (fantasy), or Venom (horror).
I was just about to post a message on SilverFlight's message wall about a completely different topic when I stumbled upon your exchanges with SilverFlight and Alex2424121. Let me tell you this: I had a history with SilverFlight too, which has apparently seemed to cool down in recent times; she has had to correct me a few times in the past, too. I, too, suffer from a combination of autism, ADHD, and OCD, and believe me, having these three disorders can be debilitating at times, and I struggle with it a lot, but I get through with them.
Now, regarding the difference between magicians, witches, wizards, and sorcerers: stage magicians practice magic tricks that you'd see in a real magic show, involving objects such as cards, hats, and other objects. Witches, wizards, and sorcerers, on the other hand, practice the kind of magic that you'd find in the Harry Potter franchise or any other media franchise that involves fictional fantasy powers for offense or defense. I try my best to get my facts as straight as possible by doing as much research as I can, and I hope that I've cleared this up for you.
Thank you a lot SuperMillionaire for your very pleasant, kind and supportive message, hopefully we can work together to improving the quality of this wikia together. Obviously we have similar tastes and perspectives on issues relating to this fandom. Hopefully work together soon, I will send you any messages if needed, when editing any future articles.
Hello SuperMillionaire specifically I suffer from high-functioning autsim. Yes I suppose it can be hard when sometimes people judge you but I always remain strong and it feels comforting to talk to people with the same condition, thank you :)
Also wondering should I try and push again for the sorceress and witch category to be merged, as well as wizard and sorcerer? I think Silverflight means very well but I think it would be better for readers and for better precision, thanks.
Could you be a bit more specific, please? Asperger's is a high-functioning form of autism, but is that the same form you have, or do you have another form, such as pervasive developmental disorder not otherwise specified?
Hi again I simply have high-functioning autism, not aspergers as I did not learn to speak until I was three. I know types fall on the same end of the spectrum but my condition is just high-functioning autism; it is very similiar but slightly different to aspergers. Thanks for acknowledging me.
I don't know what's going on but this argument over Sorceresses and witches stops now. SilverFlight has given you enough explanations, and as asked you nicely several times to stop what you're doing. You can't always have your own way, and I won't have you continuously changing and reverting categorizations.
Please stop being so stubborn and let it go, otherwise someone is going to get fed up with you. Asking and arguing the same question over and over can get you into trouble. No more.
Well as stated before I do apologise, but part of being autistic (I have an official NHS diagnosis) is sometimes coming across as stubborn or rude to others, when in reality I am very well-intentioned and just want to clear things up. A diversitiy of opinions in any sphere is good and helps reach better and more precise conclusions. Thanks.
Hello, I do not mean to sound strict, but sorceresses and witches are separate and you should leave the categories alone. Yet now you are deciding to change that because you believe in witches as the same as sorceresses. As I checked, witches are not the same as sorceresses - witches only practice black magic, while sorceresses are diverse with magic and aren't limited. In addition to changing without asking if a drastic change is okay first, this is not considered good performance of editing. I would like to ask you to stop changing and combining the categories, and leave them as is. If not, I will have to issue you a warning.
Well that is a little extreme and judgmental to ban me (and quite unfair because of my autism), and besides a witch is not always a practitioner of black magic (plenty of fictional white witches exist) , if they all were Hermione Granger and Glinda (a disney witch) would not be classed as them. Indeed other witches such as the Witch from brave practises neither light nor dark magic specifically, as most magic derived from witchcraft is neutral.
Autism is a difficult condition to live with sometimes and I love editing fandoms so to ban someone is quite cruel. You should read my work on GOT wikia to see some of my work on characters who use magic and their powers. What other fandoms do you enjoy editing?
Mary Poppins is not a witch, and if you continue insisting I will have no choice to take drastic measures to prevent any possible edit wars. Please do not re-add the "Witch" category to Mary Poppins' page.
