I've started rearranging the actors' roles into alphabetical order. This would make things a lot more organized on actor pages who have a lot of roles. This could also be something else for you to do on such pages if you wanted.
Good idea, not a bad one, but I actually agree with Ngh93. By the way, you forgot one thing: If any actor/actress has more than one role in the same film and/or television series, only the first one in the gallery should be linked.
This is mostly for actor pages who have a huge number of roles like Jim Cummings and Frank Welker. Jim did 400 roles while Frank did 200. Try finding a specific role among hundreds of disorganised roles.
I hope you are doing well. I've noticed many of your edits and don't think I have been able to talk with you yet. From your profile and avatar it seems you like Star Wars a lot. Do you have a favorite Star Wars Film?
Yes, of course! The Empire Strikes Back. I am an enormous Star Wars fan. And a lot of other things too. It's just one of those things that makes me Retro Reed. You haven't been able to talk to me yet? Not even through my old account? Why?
I suppose we just never crossed paths sooner, lol. I really like Empire Strikes Back, it's a very good movie. I think my favorite may be Return of the Jedi, just because it's so much fun. Have you seen the Star Wars TV shows?
Yes, so do I. I also really like Yoda, Han Solo, R2-D2, C-3PO, Chewbacca, Princess Leia Organa, Lando Calrissian, Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Padme Amidala, Boba Fett, Emperor Palpatine/Darth Sidious, etc.
It has come to my attention that we need to encourage more editing into the Actor pages. Include more than just their film/show roles. They all lack any major contents which is why we delete them from the Wiki. We should try to expand them to include biography dating back to their early lives, leading up to their careers and to when they started working for Disney. There's more to actors than just acting. They have lives and history. Expand them to become more like their Wikipedia predecessors, but in our own words and research. Same goes for other pages on directors, animators, models, artists, musicians, the lot.
I share this with you, because you spend quite a lot of time on the actor pages and seem the right person for the job. This could be a new challenge to expand your experience. It will be a lot of work. Are you up to it?
Okay, I'll do what I can when I can. You are right about what you just said about me with editing real-life people articles. It's been like this through my old account, too. And there are some things I care about and am more aware of than others.
Lately, I've been editing around pages related to Atlantis: The Lost Empire, and I've noticed a few things that are in need of re-evaluation. Mostly all the pages relating to the film are filled with contents that sounds like speculation, fan-fiction and nonsense.
When I read through the Atlantis page it says that after its discovery it became a secret tourist attraction for celebrities, and dignitaries. According to the Heart of Atlantis page, the crystal originated from a comet, which passed over Earth 10,000 years ago. We even have a page on Keepers of the Journal. I've watched the film and behind the scenes documentaries. There was no saying Atlantis became a tourist attraction, no origin of the crystal and no Keepers of the Journal.
From what I can tell, all this information was plagiarised from the Atlantis Wiki, which is seemed to be more fan based than accurate. I think its time we gave Atlantis: The Lost Empire a major re-evaluation. Remove any information that is considered false as well reorganise and simplify the contents till they are more like the rest of the pages on this wiki.
I'll be notifying other admins, content mods, and other good users to help out.
There is going to be some changes made on how we categorise marvel topics. Since we have a tidier and organized system with categorizing Star Wars, I think we should carry out the same treatment with Marvel. For a while I've noticed that many users, including you, have been inserting pretty much all related categories to certain articles. It's become a bit of a mess.
Example, remove categories relating specifically to the Avengers, Spider-Man and Iron Man movies and only keep Marvel Cinematic Universe. This will require some help, and that's where you and other users come in.
I need all the Marvel categories gathered so I can figure out a plan on how we're going to do this. Make a list of all the categories you know and send them to me. If you come across any you miss send those too.
From your profile. Thank you! How did you find me? Reed is my name it's my middle name, which I go by, and I like to put the word "Retro" in front of it to describe me. My old account: Retro Reed, still exists, but I can't use it anymore for personal reasons, so I had to create a new account: Rocket Retro Reed. I don't give out my first, last, or even full name on Fandom anymore because I gotta protect my secret identity. :)
I see you’re a fan of The Brave Little Toaster. I’m a Studio Ghibli fan in the same degree, and I’ve made a lot of Home Video pages on their movies, as Disney distributes them in Japan, Taiwan, France and formerly in the United States. (And with some exceptions, those are the only ones I’m adding in, as Ghibli isn’t Disney.)
I like them too, but I think the original is the best. The Brave Little Toaster Goes to Mars was released before The Brave Little Toaster to the Rescue, but chronologically, The Brave Little Toaster to the Rescue takes place before The Brave Little Toaster Goes to Mars. Not only do I own all three movies on DVD (used to on VHS), I have the books (by Thomas Michael Disch) as well.
