Trivia[]
- Thomas Carter regretted making the film R and felt that it should have been PG-13, believing that it would have been better received. Additionally, he and Murphy wanted the film to have a more dramatic tone, but were forced to make it more comedic. Michael Rapaport corroborated this, explaining how the majority of the dialogue was ad-libbed. Carmen Ejogo was specifically put off at the fact that Murphy didn't seem to care much about the film as a whole, despite him stating years later that he liked the movie.
- The lead was originally offered to Harrison Ford.
