Michael Clarke Duncan was an American actor, who was best known for his breakout role as John Coffey in the 1999 drama film, The Green Mile, for which he was nominated for an Academy Award and Golden Globe.

For Disney, he voiced Tug in the 2003 Disney animated feature film, Brother Bear and its 2006 direct-to video sequel, Brother Bear 2. He also voiced the Mean Lion in George of the Jungle 2, the Wolf in Air Buddies, and played Coach Little in an episode of the Disney Channel series The Suite Life of Zack & Cody. He appeared as himself making a speech in the Walt Disney Studios Park attraction Armageddon - Les Effets Speciaux, where he played "Bear" in the Armageddon film. He also did the voice for older Wade in Kim Possible: A Sitch in Time, Mongo in The Proud Family, and voiced Groot in the Ultimate Spider-Man episode "Guardians of the Galaxy", the episode being dedicated to his memory. In addition, he played Eli in Breakfast of Champions. He even starred as Kingpin in the 2003 film, Daredevil. The role would later be played by Vincent D'Onofrio in the reboot TV series in 2015.
