Michelle Yeoh Choo-Kheng is a Chinese-Malaysian actress, who is best known for starring in various Hong Kong action films that brought her to fame in the early 1990s, such as Yes, Madam (1985), Magnificent Warriors (1987), Police Story 3: Supercop (1992), The Heroic Trio (1993), and Holy Weapon (1993). She also portrayed Zi Yuan in the 2008 action fantasy film The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, Philippa Georgiou in Star Trek: Discovery, and voiced the Soothsayer in the 2011 DreamWorks animated film Kung Fu Panda 2.
For Disney, she portrayed Aleta Ogord in the 2017 Marvel film Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Ying Nan in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Guanyin in the Disney+ series American Born Chinese, Joyce Reynolds in the 2023 20th Century Studios film A Haunting in Venice, and will play Dr. Karina Mogue in the 20th Century Studios films Avatar 4 and Avatar 5.

- Early in her career, Michelle Yeoh was credited as Michelle Khan.
- She was initially slated to appear in Avatar: Fire and Ash.[1] However, director James Cameron clarified in August 2024 that she will not appear in the film, and will instead appear in Avatar 4 and Avatar 5.[2]
