This attraction first opened at the Magic Kingdom in 1988. Another version of it opened in 1993 with Mickey's Toontown at Disneyland. Another version of the attraction also opened on April 15, 1996 with Toontown at Tokyo Disneyland.
Magic Kingdom[]
Mickey's Country House had been in the land since opening as Mickey's Birthdayland on June 18, 1988. The attraction was initially called Mickey's House, and stayed the same after the rebranding of the land to Mickey's Starland on May 26, 1990.
The attraction was soon renovated and renamed during the land's refurbishment into Mickey's Toontown Fair, and opened under it's then-new name on June 29, 1996. The house by then would lead into the Judge's Tent, where guests could meet Mickey Mouse himself, and sometimes with Minnie Mouse as well.
Magic Kingdom's Mickey's Toontown Fair closed permanently in February 2011 in order to make way for the expansion of Fantasyland. Mickey's Country House also closed permanently at this time. Mickey's meet-and-greet spot was relocated to Town Square Theater on Main Street U.S.A..
The site where Mickey's Country House used to be is now home to the Casey Jr. Splash 'n' Soak Station, while the Judge's Tent became a pathway for the Storybook Circus and Enchanted Forest sections of Fantasyland. Mickey's Meet-and-Greet spot was moved to the Town Square Theater.
Disneyland[]
Mickey's House has been in Mickey's Toontown since the land opened. Mickey is meetable inside the house, and sometimes outside as well.
The house was inaccessible due to the refurbishment of the land, but has become accessible again as of 2023 with ToonTown's reopening.
Tokyo Disneyland[]
The version of Mickey's House at Tokyo Disneyland's Toontown was also an opening day attraction. This version also includes a Movie Barn, which is the location of Mickey's Meet and Greet.
In this version of the attraction, Mickey tends to wear different outfits that pay tribute to his classic material.
Hong Kong Disneyland[]
Mickey's House at Hong Kong Disneyland was located in Main Street, U.S.A., as a temporary attraction for the "Year of the Mouse" Chinese New Year Celebrations in January 2008, and later reopened for several other occasional events until August 2009.
Disneyland Paris[]
At Disneyland Paris, there is a similar meet and greet attraction in Fantasyland simply called "Meet Mickey Mouse" that opened in May 2012. It replaced the Fantasy Festival Stage.[3]
Bedroom - Where Mickey sleeps. Inside his room you can see his black shoes he wears in the parks as well as the famous suit and other clothes he wears in the parks. There's also is a photo of Minnie and a very sloppy bed.
Living Room - A semi small living area complete with a television, chair and couch. Pluto's dog bed and toy bone can be seen as well. The TV plays classic cartoons like "Clock Cleaners".
Kitchen - Donald Duck and Goofy visit Mickey often, which shows in his kitchen. What can be seen are splats of paint all over the wall and Donald and Goofy's footprints (they were renovating the kitchen and, judging by Mickey's very scathing letter he wrote to them, they did a terrible job).
Backyard - Mickey's backyard which holds Pluto's doghouse as well as a vegetable garden. The exit from the backyard also leads to Mickey's garage.
Bathroom - Where he bathes and does his grooming.
Notes[]
In the Steamboat Willie "trailer" shown in Mickey's Movie Barn at Disneyland, clips from Shanghaied and Mickey's Rival were used to depict scenes that never actually happened in Steamboat Willie.
