Mickey and his pals finish building Mickey's new house but they now must find the keys to the house.
Synopsis[]
The episode begins with the gang having finished building Mickey's new house, but Mickey has trouble finding the key to it. Minnie suggests that Mickey retrace his steps to find it in case he dropped it somewhere. Mickey goes over his checklist to see what he did first, which was digging a big hole in the ground to set the foundation for his house. However, during a comical struggle thanks to Goofy's bouncy wrecking ball, Minnie gets covered in some of Daisy's cement and causes her Roadster to knock Mickey's key out of his hands. The music the key plays catches the attention of a squirrel, who immediately grabs it and likes it. It soon ends up dropping it after a bird scares it away from its nest of eggs. Mickey catches it and puts in his pocket.
Mickey thinks the key is in his pocket, but is not there upon checking. He then goes over the checklist again, and step number two was building the walls for his house. While Mickey is watching Goofy set up one of the poles, the squirrel from before swipes the key but drops it after climbing the pole. He then decides to put the key in his toolbox. Now, Mickey checks his toolbox but it is not there either. The final step on the checklist was putting the doors and windows into the walls of the house. Mickey remembers a series of events that caused the toolbox to land in the squirrel's tree. The squirrel grabs the key from the toolbox before it rolls back to Mickey's front door. Mickey concludes that they key fell out of his toolbox when it landed in the tree, so the friends search the tree for the key.
Mickey finds the squirrel holding the key and discovers that it likes the key's music. Mickey has Chip and Dale give the squirrel their radio so it can listen to their music in exchange for his key. Mickey then uses the key to unlock his house, and the residents of Hot Dog Hills enter it for a huge housewarming party, including the squirrel, as the episode ends.
Trivia[]
