When Pete needs a place to crash, Mickey offers to let him stay at his place. Unfortunately, Pete is the worst roommate ever!
Synopsis[]
The episode begins at Pete's junkyard, where Mickey is dropping off hubcaps for Pete. He and Butch and busy chasing after an opossum that stole Pete's lunch. The possum gets into Pete's crane and destroy Pete's shack. Pete is extremely upset that he and Butch have nowhere to live up until he can build a new junk shack, so Mickey offers to let Pete stay with him up until he can get back on his feet, much to Pete's and Butch's delights.
Back at Mickey's house, Pluto is unsure if sharing the house with Pete is such a good idea, but Mickey calms him. Pete parks his car near the front door, knocking Mickey's Roadster onto the slide. He then brings a ton of suitcases inside as Butch charges in and immediately drinks from Pluto's water bowl. Butch then chews on Pluto's toy, completely slobbering it and Pete unintentionally eats a sandwich Mickey made for lunch. Unbeknownst to everyone, the possum from earlier snuck into one of Pete's suitcases.
Pete and Butch continue to pester Mickey and Pluto as they take things without asking, eating food, bothering them, and hogging all the hot water before Mickey showers. A furious Mickey calls Pete and Butch to the living room for a roommate meeting, and the host informs Pete of how he and Butch have been bothering him and Pluto, causing a guilty Pete to realize his wrongdoings. At that moment, Pete and Mickey find the possum chewing on one of Butch's chew toys, and they chase it around the house, eventually trapping it in Mickey's Roadster. Pete and Butch apologize for being bad guests and Mickey agrees to let them stay, along with the possum. The episode ends with Pete and Butch serving their favorite dinner... hot dogs with sardines.

This is the first episode in the series in which Donald doesn't appear at all, making Mickey the only the main character so far to appear in every main episode, not counting the Happy Helpers segments.
This is the second time Pete loses his house. The first was in the Mickey Mouse episode, "House Painters" when his house rides away in his motorcycle after Mickey, Donald and Goofy painted him with polka dot paint and decorated with a big flowery hat and a "cutesy wootsie bow". In this episode, the possum picks up Pete's shack with a crane.
